Jack walked into school with a cloudy head. He wasn't prepared for the day. The thought of that boy, and his smile terrified him. He tried to forget it, but it always came back to him. It finally left his mind when he saw his girlfriend at her locker. She looked a little like a female version of him. Jack had stringy, brown hair, and so did she. Jack had a small nose, and so did she. Jack had green eyes, and guess what? So did she. They had been together for 3 years, and they loved each other."Hey, hun" she said when she saw him. They kissed, locked hands, and went to class.

Math. Ugh. It was probably the worst class of the day. The both of them dreaded every second of it. The only thing good about it was that they were in it together. But the bad out weighed the good. They were doing advanced trigonometry, all the popular, snobby, rich kids were in their class, and the teacher took two weeks to grade work. The worst of it was the kid at Jacks bus stop, Jared Stump, was in his math class. He was the snobbiest, jerkiness, dumbest kid in the school. He was, as the old cliché goes, the quarter back for the schools foot ball team. He was pretty much the main reason the team made it to the state championship last year. He had a slutty girlfriend, who was, shocker, the most popular girl in school, Kylie Westport. You can probably guess they have done some "questionable" stuff.

After math, they both had science with Tim and Liza. After that, Jack had social studies, then music, then English, then art, so on, and so on. By the time lunch rolled by, he felt like shit. At lunch, he and his friends sat down."Hey, you know that new Divergent movie that comes out next year looks good." Said Liza. She and Anna were big fans of the book, and were excited to go see it. So this was pretty much all they had. Each other. Friends. It was pretty great.

In mid conversation, Jack was distracted by a kid sitting at a table across from them. He was by himself."Hey, isn't that the new kid? What's his name?" Jack asked. Tim looked over and said"Oh, yeah, that's Toby. Nice kid. Has mental tics every now and then." That's what Jack noticed. Toby's tics. Before he could watch him more, a group of popular kids walked passed him and started making fun of him."Ticci Toby! Hey, Ticci Toby, you wanna go to the dance next month with me!?" One of them said. Ticci Toby. What a stupid name to call some one. Wasn't even clever. Once hey left hm alone, Jack decided to go over and talk with him.

"Uh....hey, Toby" Jack said to him as he sat down. Toby looked confused."A-are you actually t-t-talking to me?" He asked."Yeah." Jack said."So, why were they giving you trouble?" Jack continued, pointing to the bullies."They m-make fun o-of m-m-my tics." He replied."I HOPE THEY DIE!" Toby yelled."Sorry. That was my turrets syndrome." He continued. As soon as Jack was going to say more to him, the bell rang. They all moved along to study hall. Jack wouldn't forget about his conversation, thoguh. Toby wanted the bullies to die. Pretty extreme.

At the end of the day, the final bell rang, and Jack went outside to the bus. When he boarded, he got the feeling he was being watched....

Off in the distance, in the forest close to the school, two figures watched him."C'mon, lemme at 'im, Rakey! I almost had him at the bus stop this morning!" One of the figures said. It was the boy Jack saw earlier that morning."Now Jeffrey," the other figure started to say."The Operator wouldn't like it if we went at him without his permission." It continued with an extremely scratchy, monstorous voice. Please take notice to how I called the figure an "it" because that's what "it" was. A small, scary looking creature, with pale skin, all white, pupiless eyes, and blood dripping down its chin."Fine. But by next week, if he doesn't give us the go, I'm gonna give his house a new paint job! I'm thinking red!" The hooded boy said. They walked off, deeper into the forest, leaving Jack unaware that his life would take a rather unpleasant turn in the next couple of days
