It was 2:30 AM, in the morning. It was dark and windy out on the sky line of Portland. The city was brightly lit, and the smell of smoke and gas resonated off of it, like most cities. On top of the highest building, sitting on its ledge, was Jack, with his mask on, freshly emptied eye sockets, and a new hunger for human kidney's. He sat there, looking down at the street below, nth inking one thought."Jump". It would end it all. So he did. He stood up, and jump off the edge of the massive sky scraper. As he fell, he felt as though he was doing everyone a favor, by not burdening them with his presence. He was a monster now, how could anyone ever look at him, or talk to you again? His body quickly met the ground, his heart stopped, and he died. There his body layed, on the empty sidewalk of an empty street. Dead. But then, somehow, alive. His heart started to beat again, he felt warmth enter his body once more. It was true what had happened to him. He was indestructible. He was in killable. He was immortal. He got up and sat on a bench to think. The only thing he could do was run away. Far away. But that meant he had someone he had to say goodbye to.
2:45 AM. Arthur Miller sent a patient he had just performed a heart transplant on out of the operating room. He was brought back in by a cop. The cop had told them about what happened at the school that night, and blood from Liza Allison, Anna Armstrong, and Tim wright were found, but no bodies, and none of Jack's blood. In the middle of the cops sentence, alarms went off."Someone's broken in." Said the cop."Stay here, sir." He continued to say to Arthur as he exited the room, pulling out his gun. As soon as he left, Arthur went to the back of the operating room to collect some of his things so he could leave. When he turned around, there was a boy with a black hoody, with some red blood stains on it, wearing a blue mask with a weird, black ooze streaming from the eyes. He couldn't see anything past the masks eyes holes. It was just blackness. Thats when he realized who it was."J-Jack? Is that you, son?" He asked. Jack nodded."Yeah, dad. I have to leave, now. I can't explain, I can only show you why." Jack responded, pulling his mask off. His father was mortified. Where were his eyes?"What the hell happened to you?" His dad asked. Jack slipped his mask back on. The cop came back into the room with his gun."Freeze!" He yelled as he fired two shots at Jack's chest. He shook them off, picked up a scalpel from the operating board, and dashed it at the cops stomach. All his blood and guts spilled out, and he dropped to the floor, dead. Jack grabbed his kidney's, stuffed them in his pocket along with the scalpel, and looked at his dad."Goodbye, dad." Jack said. He rushed out into the hall, and jumped out the window. When he hit the ground below, he got up, and ran off into the streets. Once he made it out of the city and into the forest, he kneeled, down, ate the kidney's he stole, and kept running, deeper into the woods.
As he ran so deep into the woods that it was pitch black, and the sounds of the city were no where to be heard, he stopped. He knew it was pitch black, but he could see everything around him perfectly. Whatever the Operator made him drink, it enhanced all his senses as well as making him invulnerable. He sat there, in the cold. But, as he expected, he now had an extremely high tolerance for low temperatures, and probably high temps, too. When he got some strength back, he got up, and started walk again. He didn't look back. He just kept walking....
There, at the now empty hospital, stood Jeff, the rake, Tim, the Operator, Ben, Toby, and clockwork."He was here. I saw him on the security tapes when we first came in." Said the rake."Alright. We need to get all of our shit strait. We need to work as a team, like the good old days, before all this nonsense, and find Jack. We need to bring him back home, and make him realize he isn't a monster like he thinks he is." Said Jeff. Everyone agreed."Alright. Well, let's go and kick some ass!" Said Tim. They rushed out the doors, and into the forest, to find Jack. It would take a while, but they knew they had to find him. Maybe one day, Jack would understand. That what he was wasn't bad, but just who he was now. He was eyeless Jack, but that wasn't nessecarilly bad. This motivated them to find him. One day. One day....
