Her sleek red suit glimmered in the soft warm glow of the city lights. She tapped her finger against her lips deep in thought. She frowned as her mind wandered to her partner.
"Darn cat, where is he? We have to patrol." She rose to her feet placing her hand on her hip, sighing. She paced on the shingles of the rooftop, the cold hardness kissing her heels. She longed for the familiar cat to appear. What she did not know was that he was gravely ill.

Adrien lay nestled under his covers, attempting to reach his ring which sat on his bedside table.
"Gotta... Patrol... With lady... Bug," he groaned. His kwami hovered over the ring his whiskers twitching.
"You ain't goin' on patrol in this shape," he replied to the blonde haired teenager, "ya don't wanna get her sick too."
Adrien sighed in defeat, "Fair point Plagg, I can't bring myself to harm my lady in any way shape or form." he turned over, coughing, he nestled himself under his blanket. He attempted to battle the overpowering urge to shut his heavy eyelids and give into the calming darkness of sleep, eventually he surrendered giving in.

As her partner slept, Ladybug had grown impatient, sighing with exasperation she grabbed her yoyo, "I guess I'll have to go without him." Regretfully, the young teenager hurled her yoyo toward a flag staff and swung off the building. Her patrol full of loneliness and boredom.
