As ladybug finished her patrol she sighed, clearly upset her partner in black didn't show up. She swung through Paris, until she was brought to a stop on a small rooftop balcony with a small plant box that occupied the railing. As she trudged across the balcony to the door, she turned back into Marinette, just plain Marinette, nothing special about her. She threw her arms up in a stretch and yawned flopping onto her bed.
Her Kwami, looked at her, her big glittering eyes full of concern.
"Marinette, are you okay?"
The Raven-haired teenager rolled over to face the small hovering creature in front of her, "I'm fine, Tikki, just tired..." she sighed sounding disappointed.
Tikki knew Marinette wasn't telling her everything, but seeing that she was tired she decided not to push her. "Then get some sleep Marinette, you need your rest for school tomorrow."
Sluggishly, the teenager pulled up her covers and snuggled under them, curling up. "Night Tikki..." she sighed, drifting off to a land full of peace and wonder.
....
Drowsily, Adrien sat up in his bed, he turned his head, fixing his attention on his clock. "Ten-thirty?" He questioned with a slur, "But school started three hours ago."

His Kwami resting on his nightstand twitched his small black ears, groaning he grumpily looked up at the green-eyed boy. "Nathalie called you out if school, because you're sick of you hadn't noticed."

Adrien had noticed, it was hard for him to move around he felt so sick, he had immense pains in his chest from congestion, he was also freezing cold, he shivered as he wrapped his covers around himself. He wasn't going to let Plagg know that though, he was determined to see his lady today.

"You know Plagg, I'm feeling a whole lot better today, I think I'll go on patrol," he lied, putting on one of the most genuine grins he could muster.

His Kwami sighed looking at him, "Sure."

"I am," he insisted, determined to win this argument.

"If you say so," his Kwami didn't sound convinced but it was enough for him, "as long as you stay in bed and get some more sleep, we'll go out later."

"Okay!" Adrien eagerly agreed, he snuggled back under his covers turning away from Plagg, so he did not see the look of pain that crossed Adrien's face.

He didn't care though, the only thing that mattered was that he was going to see his lady. With that he drifted off to sleep.

Marinette, watched the class trickle in at the morning bell. After Chloe, the last person who came in was seated, Alya pointed to the empty desk in front of Marinette.
"It seems as if Adrien isn't here today."
As if Marinette hadn't noticed, of course she had. She did have a huge crush on him after all.
"Yeah, I noticed," she sighed. Focusing her eyes on the board she didn't pay attention to what the teacher was saying, instead her mind wandered off to her patrol last night. She never realized how much she actually enjoyed her partner's company, no matter how bad his puns were. She longed to see him.
