The moment, while sweet, didn't last long. He pulled away from her and grasped his chest, eventually pounding his fist against her breastbone. He shuddered as the coughing fit took over.
Marinette gasped rushing to his side, "A-Adrien..." She rested her hands gently on his back, holding him to make him and herself feel secure.

(Adrien's POV)

I ruined the moment and engaged in a coughing fit. Though this fit wasn't as bad as the other ones, it seemed as if somehow I was getting...better.
Marinette was concerned, she rushed to my side gently resting her hands on my back.
Eventually it stopped and I got up and turned to see her gorgeous blue eyes, which had enraptured me for so long, filled to the brim with worry.
"Mari," I smirked, "I'm fine. See?" I asked gesturing to myself. She nodded slowly in response, though I could tell she was still concerned.
Thinking about what I could do to change the subject I suggested sitting down on the couch or going back upstairs. We chose the latter.
After we got comfortably situated in her chaise, blankets wrapped round us as we lay next to each other, I posed a question.
"So, you really had no idea it was me?" I inquired. She blinked then responded.
"Well I always had my suspicions," she grinned, "but it always seemed too good to be true."
"I had the same opinion, I'm such an unlucky person, I never thought I would be lucky enough to have a great person like you as my beloved partner, Marinette."
Though it was dark, Marinette's cheeks became a shade of Crimson that made the patch of freckles on her face stand out.
I grinned and wrapped her in my embrace. After a moment's hesitation she snuggled up next to me. Soon she dozed off. I watched her rhythmic breathing with a sense of comforting security, until my eyelids became heavy and I dosed off along with her.
I awoke to the sound of the first few chirrup a of birds, and the dark pinkish shade of sunlight that was cast across the ground from the windows.
Marinette shifted beside me, opening her eyes she looked at me and blinked for a moment. Ten remembering what had happen last night, she pecked a kiss on my nose and cooed, "Good morning, Kitty."
