Kat was fuming. As the helicopter landed on top of the C.A.N.D.I.E main headquarters with a very unconscious Gray Wilkinson, she stormed off to the control office. Kat ran down a flight of stairs finally making her way to a big metal door. Next to the door was a glass panel situated on the wall, Kat stood in front of it as it completed a retina scan. With a loud click, the door opened revealing a giant room full of people.
The room was the size of a school gym; the walls were painted white with paintings of famous agents and those who have passed away. Rows of black tables stretched through the room with a ring of them in the centre. Each table was fitted with cabinets and two huge computers. At the front of the room was a podium and a large T.V which hung on the wall, it was mostly used for important video calls (mostly).
The room was filled with young men and women in business suits; they were all on their computers taking into their earpieces, guiding agents who were on missions. At the centre, in the ring of tables sat Scott Harris, he had a white button up shirt rolled up to the elbows with black trousers and leather shoes. His black hair was swept to the side and his brown eyes were twitching as if he had one too many cups of coffee. Next to him was Joshua Smith, a middle aged African man who was head of the mission, he was a great agent and had worked with Kat for several years.
Kat walked up to them, a scowl on her face. They stood up with innocent smiles on their faces but Kat could tell that they were afraid of what she might say.
"How could you not tell me that Gray was Elementian?" Kat asked with a frustrated tone
Scott immediately put his hands up
"He did it" Scott exclaimed pointing at Joshua
"He told me not to tell you, he said that if you found out there was another powerful Elementian sorcerer you would get mad and lose your focus on the mission" when he finished he looked at her with a small smile as if he was completely innocent
"What Scott said, I needed you to have complete focus on this mission" Joshua looked ashamed
"The mission was apprehending a dangerous Elemention! You could have gotten someone killed!" Kat clenched her fists
"I know, that's why I sent you to apprehend him. Even after you complained that it was such as a basic mission. I knew if I sent someone else, I was signing their death wish." He held out his arms to reason with her
"Ok then" said Kat finally giving in
"But next time don't meddle with things you don't even begin to understand ok." She said with gritted teeth
"Lesson learned. You two are dismissed" Joshua said quietly to her and Scott
"Awesome, let's go" Scott grabbed his laptop bag and put his other hand on Kat's shoulder
"Fine" Kat said cooling down a little
The two walked outside, Kat shuddered at the thought of Gray and his icy magic. His creepy smile and the way he talked as if he knew her. His magic was also extremely powerful, the way he destroyed those bullets. Kat had never seen such powerful dark magic.
Scott had sensed her discomfort, his hand slipped into hers.
"Don't worry about what happened today. If another crazy wizard guy attacks you again, you are going to crush them with your awesome skills." He said punching the air
Kat laughed, she had been together with Scott for two years and had known him for almost seven they had both been through a lot in those seven years yet he still looked for the positives in every situation.
