Lyn entered her AP US History class right before the bell rang. No one that she was friends with was in that class, so it felt like 3 hours passed until it ended.
It was now free period and Lyn headed to the arts hallway to meet with Mark again at the practice room. Mark was waiting out side of the art room and called Lyn over.
"What's wrong?" Lyn asked.
"There's an art class right now," Mark stated
There isn't supposed to be an art class at this time. I thought we already talked to the teachers about this. Lyn thought.
"What are we supposed to do?" Lyn wondered.
"We should just go in there and talk to the art teacher about it," Mark suggested.
The two entered the room and went straight to Ms. Beynart, the art teacher.
"I'm so sorry. There were more art students accepted to the school this year, so we needed another period for class. There's a window in the studio, but that might be stretching it a bit," Ms. Beynart explained.
Mark and Lyn looked at each other and simultaneously said,"We'll do it."
Mark went to the art closet, entered the practice room, and open the window. The window was on the top left corner of the outside wall. Before leaving the art closet, Mark grabbed large pieces of paper and paint.
Mark and Lyn left the room and went outside. The two threw their stuff through the window. Mark climbed in first with ease and moved their stuff away from the window.
Lyn, on the other hand, slipped and fell on the floor causing Mark to burst out laughing.
"I'm so done with everything," Lyn said slowly getting up.
Mark took out Lyn's sketchbook from her backpack and started writing something.
"Hey! What are you doing? You know that you're not allowed to touch my sketchbook," Lyn shouted running toward Mark.
"Chill, I didn't look at anything, but I think I just came up with a rough draft of our logo," Mark said.
Lyn looked at the drawing. "What does it say?"
"If you turn it a certain way, it'll show different letters which will spell out our last name," Mark explained.
Lyn spun the paper around and smiled immediately. "This is brilliant!"
"I know," Mark smiled gettin a nudge from Lyn.
Just as Mark and Lyn were about the practice, an announcement came up on the speaker.
"Um hello? Is this on? Cheryl, help me with this. Oh, it's on? Alrighty. Hello! Students. This is your principal, Mr. Paruolo. This is a special announcement about the talent show that is held during May. It will be in the school auditorium like usual, but it will start at 5 since we had many, many groups register last year which lasted until 11pm. We will also have a surprise performance by a certain group of individuals that go here," Mr. Paruolo kept drowning on about the rules and finally got to her last announcement.
"Last year's theme was very simple and generic which was spring, but because of our guest performance we have decided to make the theme of this year's talent show be ... Kpop! Yes, I said Kpop. I expect amazing performances. Registration starts today after school. Just turn in your form and you're immediately entered. Good luck and have a good rest of the day. Paruolo out," The speakers became silent and Lyn and Mark started jumping up and down.
"This is gonna be so easy," Lyn said. Lyn and Mark have been Kpop fans ever since 7th grade. They started covering Kpop performances and that's how Lyn got started in dancing.
