12: Pre-Hoco

Lyn and Ryu got up at 7 am to help decorate the cafeteria and the gyms for homecoming.

They arrived in sweatpants and hoodies and the wore masks to protect them from some of the paint fumes from the decorations. Lyn had decided to wear her glasses since she was too lazy to put contacts in.

Other Set Design students were there. Lyn was in charge of cutting out all of the pieces and Mark helped with spray paint.

Mingyu, DK, Dino, and Seungkwan arrived a little late and helped around.

When Lyn finished cutting everything, she went to carry all of the cut outs to the glue gun station.

"Ow! Glue gun, do you want to die?" Seungkwan exclaimed dramatically after getting burned for the 7th time.

Lyn laughed and handed them some more things.

"Here you go. Do you want me to help?" Lyn asked.

"Sure, as long as you aren't as dramatic as Seungkwan. Wait, Lyn is that you?" Dino asked.

Lyn brought down the mask.

"Yep, you didn't notice?" She asked.

"Oh! Sorry, you looked a bit different," Dino said feeling embarrassed.

"Oh it's fine. I wear colored contacts, my eyes look different," Lyn explained. She started wearing colored contacts when a few people started pointing out that "Y" which was actually her had a certain eye color. "I have heterochromia, so the outer edge of my iris is dark brown and the inner part is a really light brown."

"Wow, cool!" Dino exclaimed.

They continued working on the gluing until everything was finished.

Mark and others finished painting decorations and Mingyu and DK were helping string lights to the ceiling since they were tall.

In no time, everything was set up and finished.

"Woo! We're done," DK said, jumping into the air and hitting a decoration off of the ceiling by accident. "Oops, I'll get that."

Mingyu went to help him.

"Well, we're gonna go head out! Bye guys," Mark said. Lyn waved at everyone and they headed to their car. It was now 11 am and the two were exhausted.

"Ugh, that was so much work," Lyn said. Her voice seemed strained and quieter. "My voice sounds so weird now. I knew I shouldn't have screamed all night last night."

"Well, that's what you get for showing took much school spirit," Mark casually said, driving them to a cafe. "Let's get something to eat. I'm starving."

The two ordered coffee and went back home to eat.

A few minutes after they left, DK, Dino, Mingyu and Seungkwan entered the cafe.

"I barely got to talk to Lyn during that," Mingyu complained.

"Ooh~ Mingyu likes Lyn. Mingyu likes Lyn. Mingyu likes-," DK chanted.

Mingyu nudged DK's shoulder and shushed him.

"It's not like Dokyeom. It's love~" Seungkwan teased, acting like little school girls.

Mingyu shook his head and drank his iced Americano.

The Ryu House- 4 pm: 3 hr 30 min til Hoco

Lyn took a shower while Mark ate something and then they switched roles. Both of them had robes on and went to their walk-in closet.

"What should we wear?" Mark asked hypothetically, picking out random dresses.
