Ponyboy's Point of View
Angie and I walked down to the park to watch the sunset, I really liked her. I just didn't know how to tell her. Do I just tell her straight out? Or do I kiss her, and then tell her. I didn't have a plan, but I'd think of one. Hopefully. Whenever I'm around Angie I can't seem to remember anything, or even think straight. She's real beautiful. We have been friends for a real long time, like before I can even remember. I only remember she always watched the sunsets with me. Once we got there we sat on the swings and watched the sunset "It's real beautiful." She said "Yeah, it sure is.." I said "Angie, can I tell ya somethin'?" I asked "Sure anythin'." She said smiling. "I really like you... I think you are the most beautiful girl alive, and I couldn't imagine my life without you." I said "I really like you too pony..." She said blushin'. I leaned over and kissed her. She smiled, and kissed me back.
"Angie, will ya be my girl?" I asked "YES!" She shouted, we chased each other around the park, before walking hand in hand back to the house. I coudn't believe I got the nerve to ask her out, I've been thinking about it for a year. I'm glad I did. This was only the start to our fairytale. There isn't ever going to be an end. Never ever ever. Angie and Ponyboy forever. It even says so on a tree in the park. We craved it together. We walked inside, and everyone turned and looked. They all cheered and smiled. I felt my face get hot when Soda told her that I've been talking about askin' her out for a year. She just smiled. It was time for her to go home. So we kissed one last time before she left to go home. Two-bit gave her a ride home, which I thought was real nice. "Goodnight Ponyboy." She said "Goodnight Angie." I said smiling. She left to go home, I really loved her. I don't think I can find a better girl anywhere. She is my other half.
