My Billion Dollar Love

CHAPTER 2

We were almost running to Sapphire's cafe. Not exactly running, but fast walking instead. I would never fast walk in front of my office, but its Sapphire we are talking about and she is a punctual freak, she hates when people make her wait. And when they do she is like a volcano, ready to erupt. Today it will be me who's going to face it.

Sapphire, Ben and I met in our university campus. Ben and I were architect students and Sapphire was in Business management. Ben and I had most of our classes together and on the first day itself, almost instantly we both clicked. He was a funny guy and the one who had pranked our teacher and got away with it easily. Sapphire was my roommate. So that's how we met and then there was no stopping us after that.

Sapphire's café was just a lane ahead of my office. It was her dad's cafe that she is now managing. So we entered her café and where met by a very enthusiastic Max. He is in his early 50's but he is still full of life.

"Nice to see you kids, after a long time. How are you guys?" Max asked.

"We are good Max and we are late. Where is she?" I answered, while running in towards the back door dragging Ben with me.

"Yes you are. She is her cabin waiting and she is angry. All the best." He said laughing.

"Thank you. I'll need it today." I answered entering through the back door and going to her office.

We entered her office she didn't even look at us as we sat in front of her.

"Saph it's his entire fault. He was talking and talking. I was the one telling him 'let's go Ben, Saph doesn't like people who get late' but he won't listen to me" I told her and showing my tongue to Ben.

Ben was shocked, and gave me dirty look. "Saph she is lying. You know better, she was the one who forgot that we are meeting here today for lunch."

Now Sapphire was glaring at me and Ben, "Shut up you guys. You guys are unbelievable, 15 minutes, 15 fucking minutes I am waiting for you guys. And now you both are blaming each other."

I was about to say something but she raised her hand to stop me and continued, "And I know you forgot and Ben you do talk too much so it's both of yours fault. But now I don't have a choice than to be with you guys, because I love you two too much to stay angry for long." And she grinned.

Ben jumped on her and hugged her. He asked her if she hired some handsome hunk that he can drool on. When she said she didn't he got upset and started blackmailing her emotionally to get some guy as a worker. She just laughed and said she'll try.I was watching them and smiling. What I would do without this two idiots. We had our lunch and by 2.30 I was back at my cabin and going through the files and mail from Radiance.Inc.

The mail was from the manager of Radiance Inc. It was one of the best fashion companies all over the world situated in US and they wanted to design their new branch that's opening in London. They had invited many architects to show them their concepts and ideas as how would they design it. There was a meeting and an open presentation where they'd go through everyone's offers and ideas and give the best one their contract. It was a huge contract and I wanted it at any cost.

I called Scarlett and told her "Call Ben and Joey and tell them to select some of their best designers from the design team and meet me in the conference room in next 45 minutes and move my next meeting with Mr. Wills tomorrow" she replied with yes ma'am and ended the call.

At 4.00 pm I went to the conference room to give them this news. A team of 6 people other than Ben and Joey were present in there.

"Alright guys, I have asked you to come in here because I want to discuss some news with you guys. Our company has received a mail today from Radiance Inc. I hope you guys know this company. It's a worldwide fashion company who is willing to open their new branch in here. So they have contacted few of the best architects and their firms to give them a brief of what are our views and concept for their new branch. They'll be having an open presentation on the same in 2 weeks. So in next 3 days I want each and everyone of you to work your best and come up with some ideas on what we are going to present as a concept. And remember, it should be unique. Any question's..?" I finished. They asked me some questions about the contract and the requirements of the company.

After the meeting I called Joey and Ben to my office to discuss further on the project and managing it. They both were seated in front of me and I started to go through the ideas that I have on the project.

"Ok guys, so in 3 days everyone will have some rough ideas of what they think will be a good unique idea and we'll select the best concept and work on it. So for the next week after the confirmation of the concept, I want both of you to select your team and divide the work amongst each other. On the day of presentation, Ben you'll be the one to do the final presentation that'll be on..." I look at the calendar on my desk and see what date and day is the presentation held and continue, "7th of October i.e. on Thursday. So make your schedule free and"

Ben cuts me off and says, "Aanya I can't be in that presentation. Remember I'm going to meet my grandparents that whole week and I'll be back on Saturday, 9th."

"But Ben you know how important this contract is for us. You have to adjust your holidays and go after the presentation." I said.

"Aanya that's not possible and I have already given you the notice 2 weeks prior. And I have to meet them Aanya,and you know why."

Yes, I knew why. His grandpa misses him dearly and his health is not good now a days. I sigh, "Fine. But you are helping in this project fully. Is that clear?"

"Yes ma'am." He mock salute's me.

I shake my head smiling and continue, "So, Joey you'll be presenting it now. The same thing goes for you. Clear your schedule. If there are other works in your hand tell me I'll see what I can do about those. But right now your sole focus should be this contract. Clear?"

"Yes. I won't disappoint you." Joey said.

"I know you won't Joey" I smiled.

After that they left my cabin and I went back to my work, sorting things out according to their schedule and working on some other projects. And the day ended just like that with a lot of pressures of work. When I reached home, I had a shower and ate dinner made by my maid that was lasagna. I love lasagna and watched some TV or you can say a marathon of 'How I Met Your Mother'. At around 10 pm I went to sleep, determined on getting this project at any cost.

Ben is Aanya Gay best friend and my fav character, as I have mentioned before. No offence to the celebrity I casted as Ben. BERNARDO VELASCO. He is an Amazing actor and i like him alot. Its just that I have shown Ben super Hot and Bernardo is Definitely Hot.

Soooo... A new project in her life.. It looks like an important project.. A Billion Dollar One.. ;)

Next week its Valentine's Day people.. and..........

Someone Special is going to enter in AANYA's life... or maybe RETURN in her life....
