Chapter 2: break up

Ashley's POV

-1 week later-

I ran into class cause I was late. When I opened the door everyone turned silent and looked at me.

I awkwardly sat down at my table and took out my books. The class continued

Whoa that was really awkward! After class I was walking to my locker until I saw max and Lauren fighting I hid behind a wall and listened

"Max why do you stay away from me! you used to come up to me and hug me kiss me and stuff what happened?!" Lauren asked with a sad voice

Max sighed

"Lauren, I love you but I can't always stay with you I'm allowed to hang out with my friends" he said scratching the back of his head the other hand in his pocket

"Max! I saw you at the shopping center with that girl! " she started raising her voice

"She's my friends sister! She's 4years younger than me! She saw me at the shopping center and came up to me" he looked mad

"You never stay with me and you always call me to go to the shopping center why not now?!"

"I wanted time alone.. For once" he muttered the last part but she heard him

"What?! For once you don't like me staying with you!?"

"That's not what I meant!" He totally meant that

"You know what? I don't care we're done max!" She slapped him

How could she?!

"Fine!"

"All the other boys out there wish they had a chance with me it's easy to find another one that wants to stay with me" she left speed walking making a whole scene about it

I walked to my locker

"Hey"

What?! He talked to me?!

"Hi" I said really low

"I wasn't really talking to you but hey"

Oh my god! I'm so embarrassed! He wasn't talking to me what do I do?!

"Oh sorry" I opened my locker ahh I ruined my life!

"What's your name?"

"Ashley"

"Are you new?" He looked up at me since he was sitting down

"No" I made eye contact with him for 2seconds and went back to get my music book

"Oh sorry Ashley I really am. It's just Lauren kept taking me away if I tried to talk to other people she only wanted me to talk with 'the populars' " he rolled his eyes while saying it

"It's okay max don't worry"

He nodded

"I saw what happened with Lauren you have the right to have some time alone And she shouldn't have slapped you" oh no what of he's like stay away from this or you don't need to know...

"Yeah it's just she kept staying with me I was getting kind of tired of this relationship" his eyes are shining they're perfect!

"Yeah" I finally got my music book out I really need to tidy this mess!

"Hey do you want to hang out someday?" He asked me wait what he asked me that?!

"Sure" I blushed why am i blushing?! He just asked to hang out its not a date!! Stay calm ashley!

"We could've now but I have music class" he said starting to get up as the bell rang

"I also have music class!" I smiled and started walking with him

I am so lucky right now!

"So do you play an instrument?" He asked me with a smile on his face

"No I sing unless you call singing an instrument" I hope he doesn't ask me to sing

"Nice, I play guitar and sing"

I thought so he's that kind of guy

"Nice" I repeated what he said and we giggled

We entered the class

"Hey ash want to sit next to me?" He asked me wow am I dreaming! He called me by my nickname !!! I'm overreacting ! It's just the popular guy Ashley calm down

"Sure" I walked over where he sat

Trying not to show how happy I was

Harry and Hannah walked in

"Where were you?!" Hannah asked me quite shocked since I sat with max

"I was talking to max,max meet my friends Hannah and Harry" I presented them and they nodded Harry didn't look too happy

"Ashley you usually sit with me" Harry started talking

"Sorry Harry another time" he walked away to the furthest table in the class and asked eleanor from cheerleading to sit next to him since she was sitting alone. Yep that's right he can't sit with hannah cause they talk to much. Hannah has to sit alone poor her.

Our teacher walked in. She always smiles even if something bad happens she keeps calm

"Hello class"

"Hello teacher" we all said in a bored way

"I need you guys to team up, you have to work on a song and sing it this Friday" it's Tuesday we have 3 days counting today

Everyone paired up except for me

"Wanna be in my team" the voice sitting next to me asked me and I smiled

I turned around

"I'd love too" I literally have a really big smile I'm sure I'm scaring him

"After school? My house?"

"Okay" I responded

We have to choose a song or write one

He has to choose I don't know what to choose... Wait no!! I have to sing in front of him and everyone.. Why?!!
