King's POV

After Minerva AKA my future daughter-in-law left, I went to my office, to research a little bit more about the bankrupt and Minerva.

I hurriedly went to my office and went to work. When I was there, I was met by Lord Nicholson, who is the father of the famous actress, Laura Nicholson. "Your Majesty." He said while bowing. "Ah. Lord Nicholson. What brings you here to my office?" I asked while sitting down.

Lord Nicholson stood in front of me as I was looking at the documents of the bankruptcy.

"As you see, my daughter, Laura Nicholson, is in love with His Highness, Prince Keith. Do you think that Laura and Prince Keith could be wedded?" He asked. I looked up surprised. After a moment, I looked down to look at the documents again.

"No. I'm sorry, Nicholson, but Keith already has a future bride. This was chosen during the last meeting with the Lords. It seems you weren't there." I said, gruffly.

"B-But Your Majesty, please reconsider. You do not understand how love stricken my daughter is. Please, Your Magesty." He pleaded.

I looked at him in the eye. "I already said no. Do not make me repeat it again. You are dismissed." I said, nonchantly.

He just gritted his teeth and left. After making sure Nicholson left, I sighed. Life is sad. I heard a knock on the door and immediately stood up taller.

"Come in." I said while writing something down.

"Your Majesty. I have a letter for you, from Lawyer Minerva Vineyard." The royal messenger said.

My ears immediately perked up. "Give it to me." I said, pretending not to be interested. "Of course, Your Majesty." He came over to me and set it down on my desk.

After he left, I hurriedly opened the letter. I almost dropped the letter after reading the last word.

I ran out of my office and stormed to Keith's. I kept recalling what the letter said as I went to Keith.

"Your Majesty. It is Minerva Vineyard. I apologize for not telling this in person. As you see, I do not think I am fit for this job. I am not mentally and physically well. It seems like His Highness, Prince Keith does not like me. I apologize, Your Majesty.
