Chapter 7

Keith POV

I was standing with the other princes when I heard somebody scream. "EVERYBODY, DUCK!!!" I looked for the person who screamed. It was the commoner. She isn't a commoner but her attitude is like a commoner's. I scoffed inwardly. I held my ground. "Why should we listen to you, commoner?" I said with a smirk on my face.

Suddenly I was on the floor and the commoner, I mean, Minerva was on top of me. I saw a knife on her right side of her stomach. Without me even realizing it, I was trying to help her. "Hey, hey! Stay with me!!! Luke!!! Hurry up and call the ambulance, NOW!!!!!!!!!! I was panicking. Minerva suddenly whispered my name,"Prince Keith." She then fainted "STAY WITH ME!!!!" I yelled at her. "LUKE!!! WHERE'S THE AMBULANCE?!!!!" I shouted at Luke. I was losing my cool. Luke came, with sweat beading on his forehead. "Your Highness. The ambulance is here."

Seconds after he said that, men in white suits came. I held Minerva's hand as they lifted her up on the stretcher. Then a man came. "Your Highness." He said while he bowed his head a little. "Miss Vineyard will be alright. Please do not worry." I stared at Minerva's hand that I was still holding. "I'm going to go to the hospital with her." I said with determination. "Your Highness! You cannot do that! You still have work to d-" Luke objected. "I WILL go with her! Don't say a word about it, Luke!" I growled. Luke flinched. "O-Of course, Your Highness. But I will go with you." I nodded.

We headed to the ambulance. The people in the ambulance were doing first-aid surgery on her. I held her hand, without me realizing it. Dammit. If I only ducked, this wouldn't have happened to her. Ugh. Why can't I listen to people?!!! I didn't realize that we arrived until Luke told me. "Your Highness. We are here." I nodded. The doctors and nurses quickly headed towards us as we went inside the hospital.

After one look of Minerva, the doctor told the nurse,"Get the surgery room ready, now." The nurse nodded as she went off to somewhere. Then the doctor came up to me. "Miss Vineyard will be alright, Your Highness." I nodded. "The surgery will be a success. I will give you my word on that. Please wait in the waiting room, Your Highness." "Alright." I said. "Luke! Let's go." Luke looked bewildered. "We're going to stay here, Your Highness?! You never stay for anyone!" I rolled my eyes. "God dammit, Luke. You're being too loud. Be quiet. Come. Let's go." I said while heading towards the waiting room.

---3 hours later---

The doctor came out. I immediately stood up and walked towards him. "The surgery was a success. Miss Vineyard will be alright." I felt a wave of relief through my body. I sighed. "Good." I nodded. "She will be in room 2583, Your Highness. Now please excuse me." The doctor said as he went somewhere. "Luke! I'm going to room 2583." I said while a shocked Luke scurried after me.

Minerva POV
I slowly opened my eyes and was welcomed by a white ceiling. Then I felt a blinding pain on my side. "Ughhhhh." I groaned. Then somebody came. "Luke! Hurry up!!" Somebody shouted. It was Prince Keith. Of course. I mustered all my strength as I sat up.

Then Prince Keith noticed me awake. "You! You're not supposed to be sitting up! Hurry up and lie down." I shook my head. "Unlike you, Your Highness, I do not have any time to waste. I have to get my work done." I soda while getting it of bed, but was stopped by the arrogant prince. "No! And you do not know the world of royalty! How do you know if we have time or not?!!" He yelled. I glared at him. "I'm a lawyer. People are depending on me. I have to get up for them, even if there is a bullet in my head." I said. That quieted him. Or was what I thought."

"Luke! Bring the car! I'm going to take the commoner to the Manse." Now I was shocked. "Your Highness!! I cannot do that!!" I said. "No. This is an order from the Crown Prince of Liberty. You will be punished if you do not follow an order from royalty. Understood?" I groaned and glared at him. "Fine." I said. And in a few minutes after I said that, we were on our way to Liberty Manse. My luck. But I had plans of my own. I'm a lawyer, for God's sake. Of course I have a plan. (Lol)
