This boy right here is my best guy friend Nate. (he's playing Nate. lol)

Kris's PoV

"I wonder what they're talking about?" I asked Danny as we're waiting in the hallway. "Probably the dream, that Dilly had." Danny says leaning against the wall. "What dream?" I asked anxiously. "Some dream that he had with y'all in it. I'm guessing it was horrible. He woke up screaming, scaring me and my mom." He says laughing a little.

"Hopefully, he'll tell me what he's telling Nate." I say pacing back and forth. What the hell is going on? I thought.

Just then the door to Dilly's room opens. I see Nate standing in the doorway. Awe struck. "What happened, Nate?" I asked him. "It would be better if he told you himself." He replies walking to the chair that was next to Danny. "Okay, I will." I say walking in a shutting the door.

"Hey, Bubba. How are you?" I asked sweetly. "I'm doing good, now. How are you?" He asked with his legs crossed. "Danny told me that you had a horrible dream? Was I in it?" I asked anxiously. He nods his head yes. "Can you tell me about it?" I asked sitting on the bed. He nods his head again.

"It was so confusing at first because I woke up on the field back home, but I didn't know it was back home until the end. ANYWAYS, it was misty, like fog was everywhere. I started to see a figure in the distance. It was me. I was limping, I tried walking to my limping self, but it was like I was glued to the floor. That's when I heard the gunshot causing the two of us to hit the floor." He paused. "When I knew it was safe to get up, I did, but my other half did not get up. He was shot. That's when my other half's phone started going off. I answered it and it was Nate. He said he heard the gunshot, then said he was coming down there. Once he had hung up on me. He had already pulled up to the field. He started crying and then said that he wishes he could have told me sooner that he loved me. Then he calls you telling you what had happened and I could hear you crying on the other side." He explains.

I look at him. "So, you basically dreamed that Nate loved you more than a friend. But the way you found out was when you were dead?" I asked a little too blunt. He nods in agreement. I give him a long hug; we just sat there and hugged in silence for a good ten minutes.

A knock at the door broke our silence.

"Come in." Dilly says. Just then Dr. Mimi walks in with some papers. "Excuse me, Mr. James, do you have a moment?" She asked him. He nods yes. "Can you sign these papers for me?" The doctor asked him. "What are they for?" I asked curiously. "They're his discharge records, so he can go home tomorrow morning. "Wait, what time is it?" I asked. "Almost 11." Dilly replies signing off his papers. "Here you go." He says handing her back the papers; which she nods back in agreement.

"Hey, Dilly, I'm gonna have Danny take me and Nate to your house; if that's okay with you?" I asked him. "Yeah, That's fine with me; just watch Nate for me, okay? You know how he is." He says laughing a little. "I will. I'll see you in the morning, okay?" I said walking out the door. "Okay." He repiles.

"Come on, Danny." I say shutting Dilly's door. "Wait, what? Why?" He asked confused. "So you can take me and Nate to Dilly's house." I say grabbing my backpack. "Let me get some food from the vendor first." Nate says. "We can stop and get something." Danny suggested. "Okay, then, Let's get going." Nate says. "Right behind you." I said.

“Okay let me go say goodbye to DIlly, real fast before we go.” Danny says walking in. Nate’s phone vibrates. I read it with him. Hey Nate, you can have my bed tonight and Kris can have the bed in the guest bedroom. Bye, love you.

“Why is his contact name a heart emoji?” I asked him. “I love him. He’s my friend.” Nate says.

Just then Danny walks out; Nate slides his phone back into his back pocket. “So, we all set?” He asked. ”Yeah, I believe, we are.” I said.
