What's the spot? Is it a romantic place? Is it a place just for drugs? Why would Dilly take Nate there?? Why is it so secretive? How does Dilly know about it also? All these thoughts were racing through my head when Nae told me that DIlly was taking Nate to the spot. "So, Nae, what is the spot? Why is it called the spot also?" I asked her. "Well, the spot is a beautiful place overlooking part of the lake. It is a place where few people like Dilly, who need time to themselves; the spot is that place. I only know about it from Dilly. I've never been there but only once. If he takes you there it's very special to him that he's showing you." She explains.
"Why didn't he take me?" I asked. "Maybe cause he's not ready to show you. Dilly doesn't have that many guy friends here, Kris, so having Nate here; making Dilly happy to have a guy friend like Nate. The only guy I've seen Dilly talk to was. Well, Jay.." She says. "That's true Dilly and I do a lot together. I never really see him hanging out with that many guy friends. Now I get why he took Nate there now." I say. "Well, I'm glad you do Kris, because it's really special to him." Nae says.
"Yeah, so he is wanting to have some guy time with Nate." She says. "Well, so, Dilly said we can over pizza, right?" I asked. "Let me check." Nae says. She looks over the messages between her and Dilly. "Yes, yes he did. And he said that I can use some of the money that he hides." She says. "He hides his money? Why?" I asked. "Yes because when Dilly and I first moved to Florida; He was robbed in his own home; held at point blank. He could have been shot that night. But he wasn't cause he let them... Them people take what they had and what they wanted. He wasn't raped and I'm very thankful for that; because if he was raped, I would have to whip some motherfucker's ass. Dilly's memory is very sharp; he can explain every detail of what happened to him. And I know DIlly would tell me if he was raped even if he didn't want to." Nae says.
"He was robbed??" I asked shocked. "Yes, he was. He was robbed like six weeks after we had gotten here." She says. "So, how about that pizza, Kris?" She asked me. "Sounds good." I reply. Nae grabs her phone and starts dialing the pizza company. While the phone was ringing she asked what I wanted. "Cheese." I said. She nods.
Yes, can I get a large cheese pizza and then a large supreme pizza. She paused. The address is 880 Tail Street. She pauses again. Okay thank you, have a great night too.
"So they'll be here in about 20 minutes." She says. "So, what are we gonna do till they get here?" I asked. "Well let's have a girl's night since the boys are having guy's night." Nae says. "Okay, I like the sound of that." I replied. "Okay, I'll grab some board games out of the closet here." She says walking to the closet in the hallway.
"here it is." I hear her say. "Okay let's have some girl time now." I say. "Let's do this." She replies.
