This chapter is in the p.o.v. of Andrew, Annabelles mate. Have fun with this one.
------------------------------------------------
Andrews p.o.v."I said find her!" I yell at my second in command.
I feel bad for yelling at him, but I need to find my mate. There's no telling where she is now; she doesn't leave a scent trail and ran much to fast for any of us to catch up with her.
God your an idiot for letting her talk to your father. You've seen the way she looks at him. My wolf scolds me for the 100th time today.
I sigh and run my hand through my hair, "Where could she even be?" I ask myself out loud.
"Don't worry, she won't go far." The leader of the rogues walks through my office door. What was his name? Jaxon? Jax? Doesn't really matter.
"What makes you so sure about that?" I snap at him.
"Because me and her made a deal." He says, shrugging off my attitude.
"Wha-what deal!?" I ask straightening up in my chair.
"She didn't tell you?" He asks raising an eyebrow.
"No. No, She didn't." I state, he's hiding something. My wolf chimes in.
"No.. I suppose she wouldn't have said..." he mumbles to himself.
"What.. deal?" I growl out.
"Well, you see. That's not my secret to tell. She may inform you after she's completed her half of the deal, however, even then I cannot tell you." He sighs and shakes his head, mumbling something I couldn't hear under his breath.
"I'm allowing you to stay on my territory because she asked me to, however, if you do not tell me what you are making my mate do, I will banish you and your dogs from my territory." I snarl at him; making fists with my hands to keep from hitting him.
He laughs, his voice sounding like I just told a joke. "Listen boy, your mate is the only one who tells us what to do. So believe me when I tell you this-" he puts his hands on my desk leaning towards me, his eyes going dark, "Me and my.. dogs, as you so call them, will not be leaving unless your mate says so. So, if she never returns, we will never leave. Understood?" He says it calmly and with confidence.
I lean forward and stand, placing my hands so that we're both standing in the same position, facing each other. "Well then,-" I started calmly, "I recommend you help us find her then, hmm?" My voice held a deadly tone to it that reminded me of my mother during violent interrogations with, well, with rogues.
We stood there for who knows how long, staring into each others eyes, neither of us daring to look away, both of us very irritated; and very stubborn.
"Hey alpha-" someone barges into the room, swinging the door open quickly. We still don't look away.
"What?" After a few moments I respond; tearing my eyes away from his, it's Ashley.
"I think we've found a lead on her location." She says confidently.
"Follow it." I snap.
"Yes sir." She nods and leaves the room. The door left wide open.
"I suppose I should be leaving now." He straightens his shirt, and walks out of the office. "Wouldn't want to upset you, now would I?" He says it innocently, before smiling and leaving. He closed the door behind him loudly.
I fall down into my chair and run my hand through my hair, where is she? I ask myself.
I don't know if the lead Ashley found is a good one. My wolf chimes in.
That doesn't matter. A lead is a lead.
True, however I don't think she traveled far enough to find her trail. He sighs, finding her could take days; maybe even weeks.
I know.. but what can I even do?
At this point? He hesitates, make sure your army is trained. She may not come back in time for the fight.
I nod and leave my office to head to the training arena. There is no way that I'm not fighting by my pack members. I may have lost my mate, but not my sanity; not yet.
Someone's p.o.v.
"The alpha female has gone missing in their pack. Should we attack now?"
"No." I roll a pencil in between my fingers, watching it spin. "Let him stir over it. Wait for him to be weak. He needs to break. Only then will we strike."
"Very well. I shall tell the others." She goes to leave but I stop her.
"Wait." I look away from the pencil and at her face.
"Yes?" She asks angrily.
"Take them on a few false hunts for her. Give him hope, then crush it. Repeatedly." I smile, my lips curving upward like a bow.
"I.. very well." She growls out. "Anything else?" She snarls down at the ground.
"No. That will be all." I wave her out of the room with one hand and go back to spinning the pencil in my other.
Standing I walk away from my desk and towards the window behind me. Still holding the pencil, I stare out the window at the city below me; smiling down at it from my 10th story office room.
"You will pay wolves. You will pay for what you took from me, and how you took it from me." My hand goes to my stomach as my vision goes bright red.
Below me a car alarm goes off, and it drives away. Someone stole one of the neighboring buildings cars. Cute.
"I'll crush everything that you love. Then I'll crucify you with fire and gasoline. Removing your disgusting stain from the face of my beautiful planet." I open the window, crushing the pencil in my hand and dropping it like ash. "I will wipe out your family. Then your pack. Then your species. Your entire race and existence will become no more." I walk away and press the intercom button on the right hand side of my desk.
"Yes?" A feminine voices comes from the other end.
"Prepare my jet. I have a meeting with a very dangerous, and impatient man in a few hours, and I don't want to miss it this time." I grab a gun from under my desk drawer and check the clip, completely loaded, good.
"Yes ma'am." The line goes dead and I head for the elevator.
"This is going to be a very, fun week for me." I smile as I enter the elevator. "Going down."
