We waited for Gally all night, waiting to see him jog around the corner, waiting until he was back with us, waiting for anything that would let us know that he was okay, or at least alive.
When we first arrived in the glade we were all in shock, most of us shanks cried all night and didn't sleep for weeks: we had no idea where we were and none of us knew anything, but after 3 months we got sick of being scared. We wanted to know what was beyond those doors and what we were supposed to do.
I remember before we even knew it was a maze, I remember the first griever ,I remember when Gally went through the changing - the first of many.
It was quiet and the air was still: there never seemed to be any rain or wind in the Glade, Ever and I never really knew why. Me, Newt and Mihno decided to wait by the east door for him that night, we waited for hours. Nothing. The doors were due to close in 2 minutes and there was no sign of him. Not a face arm or foot came around that corner : but a piercing scream sure as hell did.
