Fifty years ago a company called Infersia created a drug that stops the aging process in human beings. This meant that as long as you took it you would live forever. It also renewed the skin cells of everyone who took it, they had literally reversed the aging process. Within weeks it was the number one selling drug in the world. Most people couldn’t get enough of it. But no one saw the truth; death is a part of life. Without death the world’s population skyrocketed, there wasn't enough food for everyone; people were dropping dead on the streets from starvation. After three years the world stabilized and food became plentiful again. Only two or three people died each week at the start. But at the start of year five, more people started dying.

I'm sneaking through a small, dark alleyway. Two others are with me, they can’t do much to help but orders are orders. Everyone has to help train the newbie’s. We approach a fire escape and I gesture for them to stop. They follow my orders without hesitation. We all look up at the stairs zigzagging up the side of the building. The ladder, attached to the first floor, is just about touching the ground. I grab a hold and start climbing up. I hear the other two follow me up the ladder. I pull myself over the top of the ladder and I sit on a step while the others catch up.

They emerge a moment later and I put my finger to my lips (telling them to be quiet). Another gesture and they draw out their weapons. Both of them have silenced pistols. As they’re checking their ammo, I draw my weapons. I don't use guns; they become unreliable when you need them most. Instead I draw to swords from the sheaths on my back. I also check the crossbow strapped to my leg is loaded. Once we have checked our weapons we quietly make our way to the fourth floor. When we get there I slowly open the window and hold it open as the other two slowly climb through. I quickly follow and close the window. We’re in a bathroom, it's fairly large. I make my way over to the door, open it a crack and see what's outside. There’s a large table surrounded by about fifty men and women.

“Does any of you know what I'm about to say?” I ask.

“Kill them all?” One of them replies hesitantly.

I nod and walk out of the bathroom.

They all stare at us as we walk towards the table; they know who we are and what we’re here to do. A few try to run but they are shot before they make at anywhere near the door. The rest just sit at the table and accept their fate. I wave my hand and the newbie’s start shooting, their shots muffled by the silences. Their magazines are double the size of their guns. After a minute everyone in the room is dead, except for me and the newbie’s. I sheath one of my swords and I'm about to sheath the other one when a man darts out from under the table and runs towards the door. Both newbie’s go to shoot but I stop them. They look at me confused. I spin my sword around throw it at the man running. He makes it to the door, but before he opens it the sword hits him in the back and pins him to it. I walk over and retrieve my sword from his back and he slumps to the ground.

The newbie’s head back towards the window but I stay in room with the table. I look around at the bodies and make sure that no one else is hiding. After that is done I pull out a small rectangular piece of metal. The only thing on it is the initials A.O.D. I flick it at a nearby wall and in stabs into it. I look around the room inspecting my nights work, then I follow the newbie’s back into the bathroom, out the window and into the streets.
