Back in the alleyway we start running towards the road. I'm at the front with the newbie’s flanking me. As we approach the road we slow to a walk, so we don't arouse suspicion. We walk out of the alley, weapons stowed and hidden. As we round a corner, we walk down another alleyway and stop next to a dumpster. I turn around and face the newbie’s.

“Ok so you know what to do?” I check with them.

They nod and pull out a small round device from their pockets. I nod and they push the only button on them. I shut my eyes against a flash of bright light and as I open them, I'm standing alone. I pull out a device of my own and look back towards the street. No one is looking. People used to call us angels; we would come from nowhere, kill a group of people then disappear in a flash of light. I press the button on my device and the light encompasses me.

I have always thought that the feeling of teleporting is strange. It is instantaneous yet it takes about five seconds. Also you get the feeling of being everywhere and nowhere at the same time. The light fades then disappears. I'm standing on a small metal platform and the newbie’s are standing a few metres away, talking to each other. As I approach them they stop talking and they turn to me.

“You guys did well tonight,” I say and I see them smile. “Now get out of here, I have things to do.”

They turn away from me and head off towards C-Block, the cafeteria. I turn the other way and head down a short hallway. Near the end of the hallway I stop and turn towards a door. I don't knock, I just walk in. There’s a small man sitting in a desk near the back of the room. The room is empty except for the desk and two chairs, one on either side of the desk. I sit down on the chair and the man looks up at me.

“Ah, Rory, I gather your mission was a success?” I nod. “Good. I want you to go the main hall. A new batch of newbie’s is arriving and I’ve chosen you as the inductor and weapons trainer.”

“Yes sir. This should be fun.” I reply.

“Don't kill any of them.” The man jokes.

Laughing I walk out of his office and head towards the main hall.

As I enter the main hall all I see is an ocean of blue. All new recruits my wear a light blue, the higher up you rank, the darker the colour. Me, I wear black. I walk towards a little platform which is set at the front of the crowd. As I walk towards the centre of the platform the room, which is filled with excitement, falls silent.

“This is your last chance to leave. Once I begin telling why you’re here, you have to stay.” No one moves. “Ok then. Welcome all; you’ve all been selected to become part of elusive and murderous organisation, The Agents of Death.” A few people gasp, but most had already worked it out. “First things first, I'm Rory, I'm going to be your weapons trainer and I am also your inductor. First we are going to see what you already know.” I point to a man wearing a very dark blue standing at the back of the room. “Follow that man; he will lead you to the training grounds.”

I walk off the platform and head out a different doorway than the newbie’s. They take a slightly longer way so I can reach the training grounds first.
