"Put some back into it!" Mae yelled as I pushed my bed near the corner close to the window where the sunlight came in.

"You don't think I already am?" I grounded my teeth pushing harder, slight sweat appearing on my forehead.

Mae and I were decorating the room that I would be staying in and the four posters wooden bed I was given was heavier than I thought. We had painted the walls a forest green color and the bed comforter was a lavender field picture. It was aesthetically pleasing to my eyes and was very happy that Mae was able to help make it my own. In the week that I had been here, I had done nothing but decorate my room with pictures of my friends around the walls in an array of different frames and had lamps of different shapes and sizes hang from the ceiling. Leo and I had not talked since the time I had arrived here and I did not plan on doing so.

"No, I feel like you are just giving half the effort. We need to work you out girl!" she laughed as I huffed, collapsing on the ground next to the bed.

"I think the bed is just way too heavy!"

"Or maybe you just need some muscle."

"Mae!" I whined, slapping the slight dust that had collected on my shorts.

I swiped all my hair up into a bun and went to open the giant window. The forest was green as ever and it smelt heavenly. The birds chirped and I could hear people talking with each other below and walking around the pack grounds. "Let's go out! I want to walk around and see everything your pack has to offer." I grinned at her, starting towards my closet to grab a clean t-shirt.

"That sounds fun, I just need to let Leo know-"

"Why? It's not like I am leaving the grounds. I do actually follow that stupid rule he put down for me." I rolled my eyes.

Mae seemed to ponder my words for a moment before shrugging her shoulders. I smiled knowingly, slipping on a simple white t-shirt. We closed my door and began our walk outside. The pack was bustling around and I couldn't help but notice a few stares our direction. "Just ignore the stares. People are just curious as to who you are although it should be obvious." Mae commented as we continued to walk.

"Hey Mae who's your new friend!" a deep voice called out and I looked over to see two guys come towards us and wrap an arm around my shoulder and another around Mae.

The two boys had blonde hair that ranged close to a light brown; their eyes were deep ocean blue and were a good foot taller than Mae and me. They seemed to be the comedic type of guys that would do anything to get a laugh out of people and both held goofy grins on their faces. Mae just rolled her eyes before shoving their arms off both of us. "This is Claire and if you want to live then I suggest you don't put your hands on her. Leo would not be happy with you getting close to his mate."

Her comment made me blush and I felt myself curse under my breath. There was no reason to blush about her stupid brother. The boys laughed and cast their eyes in my direction, "So you are the Luna for the pack now eh? I would love to see how Layla reacts to this." one of them howled out.

"Who is Layla?" I asked the curious cat in me wondered.

There was no way I would feel jealousy over a guy I knew nothing about, yet why did something in me stir with anger? I didn't know Leo and I didn't know this Layla girl that made my blood boil some bit.

"She is just some girl who pines for Leo is all. He pays no mind to her because she's annoying as fu-"

"It's not important who she is. Just know that you don't want to make friends with her." Mae cut off.

"Oh, by the way, my name is Elijah and this is Zach." one introduced but I wasn't completely sure of myself that I would be able to tell the two apart. The only slight distinction between the two that I could find was that one had slight freckles that were across his cheeks.
