The next morning was a busy one to say the least. As soon to be Luna ,and the only one in charge while Leo was gone, sleeping in was not an option for me. A large group had pounded on my door in the early morning hours needing help or wanting answers to their questions. The constant questions being shot my way was beginning to overwhelm me. Luckily Mae was able help in providing answers to the pack."Are you excited for tonight?" Mae asked, her arms placed behind her back as we walked down the hallway.
I chewed the bottom of my lip slightly nervous.
"I would rather call it anxiety building up within me about tonight. What if I mess up? What if I trip? What if people reject me as being their Luna?"
The thoughts began to overwhelm me and my stomach began to do flips. Half the time I was calm and collected. The other half of the time I doubted myself a lot. There was a high chance that people in the pack would not want me as their Luna. While it would be harsh of them to pass judgment without getting to actually know me. All they had really seen of me was the time I had to fight back against Layla and even then that was seriously unlike me.
"I think you'll be fine. Besides my brother comes back today, you should be excited. Even though he annoys me sometimes I can't deny I miss having my brother around."
A huge smile graced my face at the thought of him returning home today and how the day would probably pass in a blink of an eye.

"How do I look?"
"I think my brother is going to be one very happy werewolf when he see's you tonight." Mae winked, as she laced up black strap high heels.
They went perfect with her sapphire blue strapless dress. The high slit on the side accentuated her legs and the heels made her look just like a model in my opinion. Her black hair had been placed in a half up-half down do.
As I stared at the blood red gown on me, I took a deep breath hoping I didn't make a fool of myself walking out there. I hadn't seen Leo all day even though I knew he had arrived back. I could smell his scent everywhere and it was driving my wolf crazy. Apparently Mae had advised him to wait until the ceremony to see me.
I felt Mae tug on a curled strand of my brown hair grabbing my attention. "I'm going out now to stand by my brother. Start making your way downstairs and out the doors in five alright?"
I nodded with a shaky breath releasing from my mouth. I could do this. I was only becoming Luna to a pack of werewolves. A species I didn't know existed until a couple months ago. This wasn't your average life for an eighteen year old girl.
three minutes.
"You can do this Claire. Just pretend that you're giving a presentation at school." I told myself.
I found myself peeking out the window, my eyes widening at the large mass of people.
"holy crap..." I muttered making my way down the stairs where to guards stood.
There was no going back no. This was my life.
The doors open and a thousand scents hit me at once but only one stood out that I really cared about. Leo's. With a megawatt smile that could basically light up the whole night sky and a nice clean shaven face it was clear I had missed him more than I had been telling myself. I noticed his eyes widen a fraction when looking at me as I walked in between the crowd. I was just being announced as the packs Luna, nothing more but around me I felt the energy of everyone. Some held uncertainty while others were happy as to why the obvious reason for the occasion was. The only bad energy I felt came from Layla herself but I disregarded her quickly as stopped beside Leo.
