"Claire you can't keep hiding from what happened to you. Someone was hurting you and we need to find out who did it." Leo growled, getting frustrated with me in the bedroom.

My refusal to tell him what had happened was a shock to him. In the beginning I had wanted to so desperately but then I realized that maybe it would put him and others safety at risk. It would be selfish of me to do that.

Earlier when we had gotten back, I had gone into the shower without a word to anyone and scrubbed my skin away of any dirt. The scratches and any other pain that had been inflicted on my body had healed now and I wore some gym shorts and a baggy t-shirt. My hair was still damp and left wet spots on my clothes. Leo's anger was radiating off in waves, I wasn't sure if it was because of me or if it was because of what had happened.

"I can't tell you. I can hardly explain it either Leo. It wouldn't be right to put your family at risk either." I said softly, bringing my knees up to my chest.

He kept pacing the room. Visibly trying to calm himself down.

" I don't care and Mae wouldn't care either. You are our family and my mate, it's my job to protect you. I knew I shouldn't have let you go out alone. Look at what happened to you?" he gestured at me.

The visible pain was gone but I was still shaken up.

I sighed and came up to wrap my arms around his waist knowing that it would help him calm down some. With my face pressed against his chest I thought of Devon and how he said he would come back for me. That it would be final this time I leave with him, but the details were vague. Nothing made sense and I was still wondering what would happen in the future for me.

"His name is Devon." I sighed out, looking up to see him staring at me with an intense gaze.

Leo didn't answer me back. He expected more than just a name.

"He met me awhile back...the first time when I ran off into the woods after we found out I was a Crimson. Apparently I knew him before the pack was attacked but when I looked at him all I saw was darkness. Nothing seemed human about him Leo. Demonic almost? Before you found me he was close to ripping my arm off and I don't know what happened, but-but I burned him?"

"Burned him?"

"Yes. Somehow I managed to burn him but I wouldn't be able to show you since I have no clue how I did it." I rubbed my palms together.

Leo seemed to be in deep thought. My mother had been able to see into the future, but yet I could do no such thing. If I was able to have the ability to even spark a flame then where did that come from? My father by chance?

"I don't want you alone anymore. I can't risk that Devon guy coming back and trying to take you from me. Who knows who he is or what he wants. For now I want you to stay here while I go talk to my father." He spoke calmly as he walked towards the door.

I only nodded knowing that even if I were to object Leo would blow his top off. Defying an Alpha was a bad move and I wasn't about to do so when Leo was angry. He only gave me a gentle smile before he closed the door, leaving me alone in the bedroom. Ironic how he had just said a moment ago he didn't want me alone and yet he had just left. I felt my eyes wander over my hands looking for any indication that I had actually burned Devon for the thousandth time. Yet I came up short. My palms were cold and nothing seemed to be different about them. Just where had I gotten this ability from in and why now?

"Devon. Do you know the name?" I asked my father as I sat down at the computer in his make-shift office.

He no longer had duties but he had made it a promise to himself to help out at my uncle's when he could. Why he would still help out when he didn't need to was beyond me. The slight grey hairs seemed to multiply as I looked at him. His age finally starting to show given his grim expression from the name I had just asked about.
