The first night I slept next to Leo was not as awkward as I thought it would be luckily. Leo had kept to his word and not tried any funny business and even kept to his side of the bed. I could feel him wanting to get closer and a part of me wanted to as well but I was fighting it off. Although when I woke up this morning he was nowhere in sight. I felt slightly bummed out by that fact but I knew it wasn't personal, he probably had some catching up to do with his father. Today I would get to hang out with Marissa and Mae who I didn't see at all yesterday.

I let my brown hair fall down in loose waves and wore a simple t-shirt and jeans. It wasn't like I was going to make another good impression if I started off with jeans and t-shirt the first time right? My shoes were slightly dirty but it was better to wear them rather than something new since I had no clue what we were doing today. My feet skipped the stairs two at a time the smell of blueberry pancakes causing my stomach to growl. Along the way I noticed many people moving around with decorations and boxes or trays of food in their hands.

"Oh Claire you're up, I made blueberry pancakes for you!" Marissa turned around setting another plate on the table.

It was basically a feast with bacon, eggs, and fruits galore!

"Thank you, they're my absolute favorite breakfast food!" I said scooping up a plate, instantly taking a bite.

"I remember when we were little kids you were obsessed with them and even Leo became obsessed with the food after you begged him to try it one day." She laughed at the memory that I wished I could remember.

"Do you know by chance where Mae is?"

"She's upstairs getting ready. She wanted to greet you yesterday but she was coming from visiting her friends that she met in another town last night so she didn't make it back on time."

"Oh, it's alright. Do you by chance know why everyone is moving boxes into the house?" I asked in between my bites of food.

Not very lady-like but who cares.

"Leo didn't tell you? Every year we have a huge party for all the relatives...but in this case it is more so for you because we haven't seen you in so long. It's more like a ball and it gives all the girls an excuse to get fancy dresses." Marissa said carelessly but I felt my face pale.

It was one thing to go to a party, but a party that was specifically arranged because of my return was a complete stomach churner.

"He didn't...is it really necessary? Is this all tonight?" I asked, feeling my hands getting clammy and wanting to try and fake a sickness as quick as possible.

"Yes, but I'm not surprised my cousin would forget to tell you. He has a million things running through his mind lately. Claire, I can see the look on your face. There is no need to be scared, everyone just wants to meet you and our family is big we would never make you go through meeting each individual one. You don't have a dress do you?"

"No...but I can't lie and say I'm not the least bit nervous. I don't do well with being in the spotlight-"

Marissa laughed and came to grip my shoulders.

"Claire, you're the mate of an Alpha. You will always be seen in the spotlight in some sort of way, but you will get used to it. You're a Luna now after all. Mae and I will take you out to dress shop, it shouldn't be too terribly hard to find you one that fits your body shape." she eyed me up and down.

Dress shopping was a pain for me. I didn't mind trying on the gowns it was the heaving beading of jewels and the zipping and buttoning up that took the majority of time. My junior prom I had to have my dress altered because of my rather small chest, not that I minded but it didn't make shopping easy. I wondered if Marissa just assumed I would be easy to shop for.
