I was rushed backstage with security after the end of the 5SOS set, I wasn't sure why but I was notified that I would be needed backstage for some wrap up things. I went without question, heading straight for the dressing room that the band had used to get ready before the show.
I pushed open the door to see four smiling faces looking at me.
"Hi." I said. Smiling back at them.
"Do you want to watch the One Direction set with us from one of the club boxes?" Luke asked.
"Sure." I said.
"Good, because that's what we're doing now follow us." Calum demanded, walking from the room and down several different corridors. Up a few floors. Finally, we reached the club boxes and entered what looked like a posh setting. There were couches everywhere and floor to ceiling class so we could see the show. There were TVs projecting the jombotron images and speakers to play the audio for us.
Michael took over one of the large couches and I made myself comfortable next to him. Snuggling into his side and taking in everything. This was the first time I'd watched One Direction's set all tour. It'd also be the last. I watched Harry prance about the stage. It didn't hurt like it used to. I didn't mind seeing him. I didn't care that he'd broken my heart. That he'd tried to get back to me. I felt nothing when I looked at him.
Then there was Michael, I felt everything when I looked at him. Everything.
"Don't I stink?" Michael asked.
"No, and if you did, do you think I'd mind?" I asked.
He pulled me in closer.
"Of course not. Well, I guess not." He said chuckling a bit.
"You guys are sickening." Calum said laughing. "But I like it."
"Calum's just jealous." Luke said slinging his arm around Calum's shounders on the couch they we're sitting on.
"Not when I have you babe...." Calum said, gazing at Luke.
"Y'all are downright too much." I said, laughing.
"I'm gonna miss the southern lady!" Ashton said.
"I'm gonna miss all the southern lingo." Michael said.
I pouted a bit, and didn't respond. Just watched the concert playing out in front of our eyes. It was quite entertaining. I enjoyed all of the songs that were being played, singing along a bit.
"When do we leave for the airport?" I asked.
"Immediately after their set is over we are supposed to head to the busses and head that way. All the cargo will then be loaded onto the airplane and we catch our flight to Australia at 12:50." Michael said.
"Oh wow, my flight is sometime around 12:00." I said.
"We'll get to say goodbye at least." Calum said, shrugging.
I smiled at him, he was trying to make the best of the situation which was helping but I still wasn't quite ready to go.
Michael grabbed onto my hand and squeezed.
"Do you want to go back to the bus with me?" He asked.
"Yes please." I said.
We stood and left without anyone really saying anything or questioning where we were headed. Michael knew the way back to the bus and after about a six minute walk we were in the back of the bus curled together in the media room.
"Lennon, I'm not going to leave you like you think." He said.
"I'm trying so hard to believe that. I'm trying so hard Michael." I said, leaning my forehead to his.
