What's Ahead

It'd been almost an entire week before I heard from Michael.

The entire time I was full of dread. I hadn't talked to anyone, done anything, I hardly left my bed.

I was beginning to think he'd forgotten me.

I also realized I was being THAT dumb girl that nobody likes because I hadn't even tried to talk to him either.

Finally I received an imessage from a new number.

'Lennon, it's Michael. Sorry I haven't been in contact. Miss you more than words can say.'

I wasn't sure what to say.

'Hi. I miss you too.'

'You got the envelope right?'

'Yes I did, thanks.'

'Will you come?'

I thought to myself, should I tell him my plans?

'Yes.'

'When?'

'The beginning of second quarter, I will try to attend courses in Sydney.'

'LENNON THIS IS SO GREAT.'

I smiled. His use of all caps made me feel like he was excited. Surely he was, but I didn't know. I was scared to death what things would be like when I made it to Australia. Would he still like me? Would he be with someone else? Would he be too busy for me? Would their be conditions on our relationship? Would we go public?

Everything scared me.

I was such a scared girl.

It was so hard for me to live life the way Michael's life required me to live.

I needed more confidence, drive, and I needed to care less about other people and things.

I would need to dive in head first.

And I would.

'I know Michael I'm really excited.'

'Me too, Lennon. Me too. I love you and I can't wait for the next adventure.'

'I love you too, and me either.'

I knew it'd be a long two months without Michael but I was eager for my studies in Sydney and I couldn't wait to meet him with a smile on my face.

So, yeah, I'm going to start work on a sequel to this story that'll pick up when Lennon goes to Australia.

First chapter will be up in a day or two!
