Chapter 9 - Meet the Beatles

I didn't want to go see Paul again. That was a lie, I did want to see him. But I knew Lilly would be there. Ugh, it sucked to like someone who was dating someone else. Might as well drop it, he is a cheater. And I couldn't do that to my best buddy. Yeah, screw him. I want a guy that only wants me and not another girl. Yeah, Paul's a jerk anyway.

If I see him, I'll act like nothing happened. Hopefully, Paul will get the message.

But could I have some fun with this. Make Paul jealous? But how would I do that? I haven't seen another guys. Well what about that dude on the train. John was his name. But I bet he had a girl too. Everyone in Liverpool does.

Well, than I'll show up single, and happy.

I walked down the side of the street heading for the Cavern. I was wearing the same thing as earlier, i didn't feel like changing into anything really nice. The sun began to sink into the ocean and the air started to cool around me. It felt good to be back in Liverpool. Wouldn't it be great to just stay in Liverpool? But there are too many problems that would bother me. I almost ran into some small children as I continued to walk.

"Oh!" A small girl raced in front of me and I nearly tripped over her. She was small, maybe 7, and other girls called for her.

"Sorry Lady!" The little girl said, her voice was high and sweet. It reminded me of my youth. Happy memories, and a few sad ones.

"It's ok." I gave her a friendly smile and she raced along, happily. I could be happy too, as long as I just keep my mind of Paul. When I think of him, I just feel like punching him in the face.

I continued down the street, just trying to letting go off all my stress. Hoping I would just have a good time. And I decided I would.

But that plan was cut short, quickly.

When I got close to the Cavern, humming a Elvis song in my mind, I guess I wasn't paying attention. My mind was wondering all over the place, but my body kept moving forward. My brain didn't realize where my legs were taking me.

And I ended up in the middle of the street. Still unrealizing of where I was, I kept going.

All of a sudden, I heard a voice yell for me.

"Holly!?" My legs stopped moving and I turned around to where the voice was coming from. Paul was coming after me. Racing towards me almost in slow motion. I was super confused until I almost slowly turned back forward and saw this large car coming right for me.

Then it all went black.

When I awoke, the light, which was bright, shinned above me. The window next to me was dark with night air floating into the room. The walls around me were white and the sheets I was under were white as well. To my left was the door, it was open and I could hear movement of alsorts of people. Some had scrubs on, others lab coats, and some where wearing normal clothes. On both sides of the bed was meds and different tools.

When I looked down at the bed, I saw my arm was above the sheets, in a white cast. My leg was stratled above the bed at an angle. The last thing I hadn't looked at was the two chairs sitting across the room. I saw who was sitting there, just barely holding my head. A small smile came across my face.

"Lilly?" She was sleeping on the chair, but quickly awoke when I managed to say her name. Her hand pushed her black hair out of her face and she quickly came over to the edge of the bed.

"Oh my god Holly." Lilly managed to finally say. She gave me a sympathetic look, like she had been worryed for hours.

"What happened?" I asked her rubbing my head with my good hand.

"You apparently wondered into the street and got ran over by a car." Lilly gave the simple version of what happened.

"How did I get here?" My eyes looked around the room some more, studying the room in detail.

"Paul and I were heading for the Cavern when he saw you. We took you here and Paul said he would be back once he finished at the Cavern." She tryed to seem cheerful but I knew she was scared.

"I feel fine, I'll be ok." I became sleepy again, "I promise." My mind faded into sleep again.

When I awoke, the sun shined through the window. It was the next morning, which was my total guess of what the time really was. I woke to a voice talking to me.

"Holly?" The person whispered above me. I looked at the person, who was a few feet above me. The face could only be the person I didn't want to see.

"Paul?" I sat up, realizing my foot was not at an angle anymore. A few guys stood behind him. They appeared close to Paul 's age but I've only seen one of them in my life. One guy was John from the train.

"Guys," Paul looked at the others and waved for them to come closer, "This is Holly. The one I told you about." He's been talking about me? I wondered what he said about me to these three.

"Hi." I tried not to see too tired. They didn't really respond right away, "Excuse me for not getting up, but I kinda can't" My good hand pointed to my leg. The one called John smiled and laughed.

"Funny," he said, "I'm John. John Lennon." If I was drinking something, I would have had a spit take or something. Now, I know who this guy is. He shook my good hand softly and they stepped back.

"Do you remember me?" I asked John. His green eyes looked through memories till he found the memory of me.

"Yeah, yeah I do." He nodded, causing his hair to move slightly, "But it is hard to tell, your so different." I shrugged slightly.

"I guess." My attention switched to the other two. I was pretty sure I had never seen them before. Maybe, not sure. One was smaller, the smallest of all the four and had right bright blue eyes. The other was quiet and appeared a little shy. I waited for them to introduce themselves.

"Oh, um hi." The short one said, shy a little bit. The other one shoved his body forward a little bit, with his elbow and he nearly hit my bed. I giggled and the boy blushed with embarrassment.

"Hi." My able hand brushed his cheek with my hand, "As you know, I'm Holly."

"I'm Richard Starkey, but people call me Ringo." I nodded and Ringo stood back up and stepped back. He was funny, made me smile.

"I'm George." The last one said, peeking out from behind John and Paul, "Harrison, George Harrison."

"Well, nice to meet you all." I smiled before yawning again. I was once again tired. Paul noticed quickly.

"We should go." John said before Paul could. The others nodded quickly.

"I'll meet you guys out there." Paul didn't take his hazel eyes off me when he talked. Ringo, George, and John left the room, shutting the wooden windowless door. Paul quickly rushed up to me and brushed my blond hair out of my face.

"Thanks Paul." I managed to say though the blanket of sleep that was beginning to cover me, "For, ah, getting me to the hospital." My words became softer and softer as I drifted farther and farther away.

"Your welcome." He said quietly. And just before I fell back into a deep sleep I heard one more thing, "Sweet dreams Holly." And I felt something on my cheeks. A light kiss and it felt so good.
