This is going to take a while, because I want to re-write the set up of the story and not lost anything, so I'm going to publish the changes I make. I'm not going to go months without working on this story anymore, that is unless I can't help it. The story won't make a lot of sense because of the changes I'm making, so things that are "first introduced" in later chapters will be seen starting this and possibly last chapter to go with the story line. It'll slowly mold into place as I go, so please bear with me.

I'm using Quenya (and a bit of Sindarin if I can't find the word in Quenya), an elfish language from The Lord Of The Rings. I'm using this sight

which is a good source. I'll add the translation next to the dialogue or word in italics so don't worry about translating it yourself! The reason why I'm using Quenya/Sindarin is because I want to make sure I have the right translation and not some crappy Google Translate text of Irish. Plus, I shouldn't be writing entire dialogue in elfish, and if so and I can't properly translate it I'll just make it italics and not try and butcher the language. I'm only calling it Irish because they're not (they'ren't lol) elves, and Merlin's actor is Irish so it fits. Also, Darthon isn't in actual Ireland, it'll be where Scotland is.

The first link will take you to the home page and the second to the workbooks, which is a guide on how to speak and apply the translated words and the Elfish characters as seen in the books/movies. Vocab and everything! I added the first into the external link thingy so if you can't get it there ^ then you hopefully can where ever the external link thing is.

If you want a brief description on how to pronounce the words without going to the website, let me know and I'll write a brief How To Pronounce Elfish 101 so you can read it better. Maybe even adding it into the book itself.

================================================

Merlin, Arthur, Thomas, the Darthon knights, and the other knights of the Round Table were currently in the council room discussing the traveling plains and what route they will be taking. Thankfully, Thomas brought some maps of Darthon, though there was a bit of a problem.

"Arthur how can you not read Irish? That is one of the only other languages you are required to learn as prince." Merlin asked, exasperated.

Arthur looked offended. "I'm sorry, I was never taught. All the kingdoms that do speak Irish we have no connections with, therefore I never needed to know!"

"Arthur, three of the kingdoms you are allied with speak Irish, they actually took the time to learn how to speak English! Even I took the time to learn English!" Merlin yelled back.

Arthur huffed. "You don't sound Irish." Merlin just rolled his eyes.

"Ok, now that that's covered we can take this route and cut off a few days ride saving time and food." Thomas interjected, getting the conversation back on track.

"I don't know what is best since I've been gone for over six years I don't know what's changed. Besides I need to go and do a thing or two." Merlin said while slowly walking backwards.

"Merlin we need your approval." Arthur deadpanned.

"Look, at the moment Wolf has more knowledge over everything so my approval is granted if Wolf approves." Merlin said still backing out.

"Thanks Dragoon." Was Thomas's sarcastic response.

"Dragoon?!" Arthur exclaimed. Merlin had turned around and was about to open the door with Arthur glairing at him. Merlin was shaking slightly when he turned around. When he did everyone could see that he had paled.
