Sabrina's POV

I sit down next to her, and her brown eyes meet mine.

"Hi," she said softly, a nervous smile coming across her face.

"Sup,"I reply. Typical me.

"Nothing much," she responds

"Are you new?"

"Ya. I'm Crystal (picture of her in media). Who are you?" she responds shyly.

"I'm Sabrina. Why aren't you going in the school?" I ask.

"I'm scared. I've been homeschooled my whole life, and I don't know what it's like in there," she admits.

"You just gotta keep your head up held high. Just don't be scared. If something goes wrong, it'll get better over time," I say to her.

"That could be in a song," she giggles.

"Actually, your right!" I say. I get my song book out of my bag. I write down the lyrics.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm a singer, songwriter, guitar player, and piano player" I say.

"Woah," is all she says. I smile.

"Alright, let's go in," she says. I start for a moment, then stop.

"What's wrong?" She questions me.

"You might not want to walk in with me. I'm a huge victim of... Everyone," I say.

"So? I don't care. I'll walk in with you, no matter how many bullies you have." I smile.

We walk in, and everybody stares, probably confused by the fact that someone is actually walking with me. I see Gabi and the twins come around the corner, and they grin when they see me.

"Hey dork, who's this?" Gabrielle says.

"Leave her alone Gabrielle," I say going in front of Crystal. Why can't she just leave me and the one friend I have alone? Jacob's posse walking around the same corner and walks up to us, standing right beside Gabi's group.

"Who's this?" Mark says checking Crystal out. She smiles, and I mentally gag. Typical Mark. I then see Jacob eyeing me, and my anger starts to flare.

"What?" I say to Jacob with attitude. I thought he was going to slap me, because he raised his hand, but then he put his hand in front of me.

"Come here," he says sternly, grabbing my hand and leading me away from the group. I groan in frustration.

"Sabrina, let me see your wrist," he demands.

"Why?" I say anxious.

"Sabrina, wrist, now."

I put my arm out and he grips onto my arm. He pulls up my sleeve. He sees the cuts.

"Okay Sabrina. What's with the cutting?"

"You," I simply reply and walk towards Crystal again.

Jacob is calling my name. I ignore him. Then he grabs my wrist and turns me around.

"That hurts!" I shout when he grabs me.
"I'm sorry," he whispers quiet enough that only I can hear.

"Let's go," Crystal says tugging on my arm.

"No, stay Crystal," Gabrielle says, approaching her again. Here we go. She's gonna leave me then bully me, just like everyone else.

"Sorry, I'm with Sabrina. Besides, I don't want to be friends with someone who thinks she's better then everyone else and makes people feel horrible," she says and smiles. Then Gabrielle slaps her REALLY hard. Harder then she has ever slapped me.

She doesn't do anything. She doesn't bring any emotion into her face.

"Wow, that really hurt," she then says sarcastically.

Then the bell is about to ring for first class, which is when rush hour is.

"Um, Crystal, why are you hitting on Jacob! You don't have a chance, you're way too ugly. And Sabrina, just a tip, give up on life. Go home right now and kill yourself. Nobody likes you, as you can already tell. Your not wanted in this world. So leave it and everyone's lives will be much better. Exact same with you Crystal. You guys can do it together. Leave this world and never come back together. Make people feel better knowing that your dying," she says loudly. What is wrong with society?

Crystal starts crying and runs away. "You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. What did she do to you?" I say. I run after her.

I hear sobbing coming out of the stall. There is Crystal; mascara running and tears all over herself.

"She's right. Everybody would be happier if I died," she sobs. No, I'm not gonna let her think of herself like this. She seems so happy, and I really don't want her to turn into someone who thinks really low of themselves.

"She's just jealous. She made all of that stuff up because you were the first person to stand up to her," I say. She looks up, mascara smeared under her eyes.

"Really?"

"Totally. Don't worry Crystal. People let Gabrielle and Jacob get away with bullying me, but I am not letting it happen to you. I will do something about it!" I say. She nods and smiles.

"Let's go to class" she says.

"Hold up!"

"What?" She asks.

"Your cheeks are full of mascara. I'll fix you up," I say. She smiles.

I fix her makeup, then we head to English.
