Sabrina's POV
It's time for a change.
I want people to take me seriously, so I have to be a so called 'bad girl.' I have to break the rules and I have to be serious so people actually take be serious.
What to wear?
I finally decide. I wore black leggings with printed on chains, a plain dark red tang top, a black leather jacket, black wedges, and a bunch of red and black bracelets on my wrist.
For my hair, I just put on a wig (in media) and put it in a ponytail. I put on my usual makeup, except I put on thick black eyeliner and red lipstick.
I look in the mirror. I look good. I don't like the was I look. Emo definitely doesn't suit me, but it's a look that'll make people take me more seriously. Fear me, even.
I go downstairs. Jacob parents are gone on a work trip again so they don't need to see this random phase I'm pushing myself through. Jacob is sitting on the couch watching tv. I guess he hears me because quickly turns off the tv and stands up.
"Sabrina, I'm really sor-" he cuts himself off when he looks at me. His eyes widen and he rushes over to me.
"Sabrina, what have you done to yourself?" He asks, trying to take my leather jacket off my shoulders.
"Don't touch me," I growl, shoving his hands away and putting my jacket back on. He surprisingly listens.
"I'm going to go for a walk in the woods nearby," I announce, taking a step towards the doorway.
"No you aren't. Your staying with me," he says. What?! Who does he think he is to control what I do?!
"I don't have to listen to you. This is me now. I don't listen to anyone and have my own rules, so leave me alone because I'm going whether you say so or not!" I shout. He grabs my wrist and drags me towards the couch.
"Let me go!" I yell, attempting to get out of his grip. Unfortunately, by default, he wins by his extra four inches and muscles. I sigh and slouch onto the couch. He sits beside me hesitantly.
"Sabrina, what happened to you? Why did you change into this?" He asks.
"Nobody takes me serious anymore, and nobody ever will. Changing my personality and looks will get people to listen better and take me serious."
"People do take you serious, but as your old self," he argues.
"Yeah, I can totally tell from when you laughed at me when I was breaking up with you," I chuckle. He looks at me surprised.
"Wait, I caused this?"
"No, you made me realize that I need to change myself, because no one liked the old me," I tell him.
"But I did. No, I didn't like the old you, I loved the old you. You were always positive and always knew what to do when I was sad. Now you've turned into someone who doesn't give a crap about anyone's feelings," he said. I try to take into consideration about what he said.
"And my parents liked you, and so did my sister, and my cat," he says pointing to Josie who is on the window sill. I laugh.
"There's that old Sabrina that I know and love. Do you really want to be this dark person that doesn't care about anyone?" He asks. I pause for a moment.
"No, I hate me right now," I say. He slightly smiles.
"Then change it," he says taking my leather jacket off again. I let him.
I rip my wig off. He smiles."Beautiful. Your so beautiful," he says. I smile.
"I'm going to go change," I tell him. He nods and I walk back down the hallway.
