Jacob's POV

I go onto my bike and ride to Isaiah's house. Oh, he's gonna be sorry. I burst in through the door to see Sabrina being smashed into the end of a marble counter. She falls to the floor and my jaw gapes at the sight of her being hurt so badly.

"Jacob, get out of my house!" Isaiah yells. I look at Sabrina and see she is lying limp on the floor, her eyes squinted.

"No! I came here to get Sabrina, and I'm not leaving without her!" I shout back.

"What we are doing is none of your business," he says sternly.

"Yes it is! Because Sabrina is being attacked without any help," I say.

"Oh, you mean like this?" He says. He quickly goes up to her body and kicks her in the stomach.

"Leave her alone!" I scream at him. I run up to him and push him as hard as I can and his head hits the corner of a wall. He's knocked out. Serves him right.

"Sabrina, are you okay?" I ask, holding back tears. I crouch next to her.

"Why would you c-care?" She says weakly.

"I'm sorry. I believe you that you didn't kiss Isaiah. I believe you tried to pull away but couldn't. I'm really, really sorry, but I really, really, really care about you," I confess.

"Why would y-you co-me here?" She says, stuttering her words.

"Because I saw the 'conversation' you two had behind Chipotle. I heard him say something about finishing what you started at home," I say. She stays silent, though she breathes heavily, probably trying to catch her breath back from that wicked kick in the stomach.

"So are you okay?" I ask again.

"I...well..." she starts to say.

"Sabrina, you don't have to lie. If you're not okay, I'm not going think of you any differently."

"Yeah, I'm fine," she manages to say clearly.

"Are you sure?" She pauses.

"No. He g-gave me food once a week a-and he beat m-e all t-he time. I-I feel like I-m gonna d-ie" she says, stuttering a lot more. My facial expression turns into deep concern.

"Okay, I'm going to take you back to our house. My parents are in Jamaica right now. I could have came with them, but I wanted to stay here to look for you," I say. She smiles weakly.

Now, how do I pick her up? I think. I pick her up gently into my arms bridal style.

"This okay?" She nods her head. I walk to my house, leaving my bike. I'll come back for it later. When we get back home, I see Mark on the couch.

Mark's POV

I hear Jacob come in, interrupting my impatient pacing. I look behind me, and there is Jacob with Sabrina in his arms.

"You found her?!" I exclaim.
"You know it," he grins. . I give Sabrina a hug and hear a soft whimper escape her mouth.

"Oh, sorry," I apologize.

"It's o-okay," she stutters with a weak smile.

Jacob's POV

"I'm gonna take her upstairs to her bedroom. You can come too Mark, if you want," I say.

"Nah, I'm good," he says.

"Suit yourself."

I walk up the stairs and take her to her room. She gasps.

"What?"

"It's w-way different," she comments.

"Oh ya. I re-decorated it," I tell her(in media).

"It's a-amazing."

"And it's all for you baby girl," I say. She smiles. I set her on her bed and she curls into a ball.

"You cold?" I ask.

"Kind of. But t-this is just how I-I get com-fortable," she tells me.

I go into the grey cushion bin at the end of her bed and grab a blanket. I lay it on top of her.

"Do you need anything else? Do you want anything to eat?" I ask.

"No, I just need some rest," she says.

"Okay. I'll check on you every once in a while," I say. She nods her head and closes her eyes.
