Jacob's POV

(1 year later)

About 6 months ago, apparently I got hit by a bus and lost my memory of most things. There was this nice girl at my school named India (bet you didn't see that coming!) and she has shown me around school and helped me try to get my memory back. We are actually dating now, and I'm really happy with her. I even got famous on an app called vine. (RIP vine lol)

I was hungry, so I decided to go to Chipotle, because why not. The moment I step in, I crash into someone and both of us take a step back to regain our balance.

"Sorry," we say in sync. I look up at the person and see it's a girl with long blonde hair and she looks my age. Her eyes meet mine and they light up. I feel like I remember her from somewhere.

"Jacob!" She exclaims, wrapping her arms around my neck. Maybe I've already met this fan and that's how I remember her. She pulls away and I smile at her.

"Are you a fan?" I ask. Her smile drops.

"No, I'm Sabrina. I'm your girlfriend. Don't you remember me?" She asks. I shake my head.

"Uh, I have no idea who you are. I think I would've remember if we dated. Besides, I already have a girlfriend," I say. Her eyes start to turn glossy and her hands drop by her sides.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"It's only been 1 year and you forgot about me?"

"Around 6 months ago I got hit by a bus and lost my most of my memory. But a girl named India-" her eyes open wide and she cuts me off.

"India?! Out of all the girls in the world, why choose India? Why not Linda, or someone else that is not a total jerk," she says. I raise an eyebrow. This is probably just some crazy fan who is imagining things, I need to try to be nice.

"You have no idea who she is. She is a beautiful and kind girl, and I really don't like you backlashing at my girlfriend!" I say, trying to contain myself. A tear falls from her eye and she quickly wipes it away.
"Are you serious? Jacob, we've been best friends since we were little? You don't remember me? Don't you remember that room? Don't you remember anything?" She asks, letting her voice crack a few times. My eyebrows knit together in confusion.

"What room?" I ask curiously.

"That secret room in the cellar. You know, the one you found when you were a kid," she says. My expression doesn't change.

"Jacob, if you let me over to your house, then I could show you the room. I promise I'm not some crazy girl, I'm not making anything up," she tells me. Something about her makes me trust her.

"Fine," I finally say. I lead her to my house, but it seems as if she already knows the way quite well. We enter the house and I start to take my shoes off.

"Mom, I have a friend over!" I shout.

"Who is it?" She shouts back.
"Her name is Sabrina!"

I hear her compelling footsteps coming towards us and she walks into the room looking very stressed.

"I'm sorry. Sabrina can't come here," she says, putting her hand on her back and moving her towards the door.

"Mom! You can't just kick my friends out!" I exclaim.

"This is my house, and I can do whatever I want," She tells me sternly.

"I need to talk to Sabrina outside. Jacob, stay in here," my mom says. Her and Sabrina walk out the door and I put my ear against it, trying to hear what they are saying.
"Mrs. Sartorius, I don't mean to be rude, but he deserves to know the truth! Not all of these lies!" I hear Sabrina say. Lies? What lies?

Before I know it, Sabrina goes running off the step and my mom comes back in trying to act normal.

"Mom!" I exclaim. "She's my friend!"

"Jacob, go to your room!" She barks at me. I sigh and do as she says. I decide to look through all my contacts and see if I can find any more information on this Sabrina girl. I have more contacts then I'd like to admit, so I guess this will take me a while considering I apparently haven't talked to this girl for a year.

After around 20 minutes of looking through them, I find something.

Sabrina💕❤️😘

What?

I look through the texts. Sabrina was telling the truth. We did date. It sounded like we really liked and cared for each other. I walk out of my room with my phone in my hand, and the texts on the screen. I go towards my mom who is sitting on the couch and show her my phone.

"Mom, I know Sabrina and I dated. Why would you keep her away from me?" I say to my mom. She sighs after looking at a few of the messages.

"Jacob, you might want to sit down to hear this."

She tells me every single detail of before I got hit by the bus. Each memory she tells me makes me remember, and I suddenly remembered everything I felt for her. I may not remember anything from before I was 13, but I remember every feeling. Happiness, hurt, joy, loving. Every single feeling.

"Mom, I need to find Sabrina," I tell her. She nods.

"Just before you do that, I have something to give you," she says. She goes into her room and comes back with a note and a box.

"What is this?" I ask.

"Sabrina left you it when Gabi threatened to blow up our house and this is a promise ring you gave to Sabrina," she tells me.

I read the note. It was reminded me of the whole situation, and man, was that situation ever sad.

"Go find the girl of your dreams," my mom suddenly tells me, my shoes in her hands. I take them and smile at her.

"Thanks mom."

I go to Chipotle, where I first saw her. Not there. You know what, I pretty much go everywhere in Reston, but I can't find her. I finally go to the park. I see a girl swinging on the swings.

"I don't care what Jacob's mom says. I won't stop loving Jacob. I won't forget him, even if he did forget me," she says to herself. Yup, it's definitely Sabrina.

"And Jacob will never stop loving you, even if he once did forget you," I say. She looks behind her and see me. Her eyes brighten up and a smile comes across her face. We both run towards each other and meet halfway, taking her into my embrace.

"Sabrina, my mom told me everything before I got hit by that bus. I love you!" I tell her. She smiles brightly.

"Jacob, I love you to!" She replies. I smile.

"Could you show me that room you were talking about?"

"Are you sure? Because your mom just talked to me about staying away from you and that I have to forget you," she says. I nod.

"I already cleared everything with her," I tell her.

"Okay! Let's go!" She says. She starts to skip backwards while motioning me to come forwards. I jog up to her.

We finally get back to the house, and we once again take our shoes off.

"I'm back!" I yell to my mom.

"Okay!" She yells back. We walk towards the stairs until I stop her.
"Where is this room?" I ask.
"Follow me," she tells me. I nod and follow her. We end up in the basement and find a small door inside a closet.
I walk in after her and see there is tons of pictures of her and I.

"Woah!" I exclaim, looking around completely dumbfounded.

"Pretty cool, right? You actually found this room a long time ago," she tells me.

"Really?"

"Yup."

We sit down on the floor.

"So tell me about you, because if we are going to date again, I have to know more about you," I say.

"What do you want to know?"
