I visited your mother often, as much as I possibly could. Your sister and I, took turns staying with your mother.
Her depression got a lot worse after you left. She stopped eating, she stopped working, she stopped everything. It was as if the world had been ripped apart, as if everything no longer held any value. The pain that she feels for her daughter, it's too tremendous. We're scared to leave her alone.
She never does anything but sit at home. Nothing moves her from your room. The room you had left empty when you moved out. There's nothing in there, the room waits for no one. Yet she is in there waiting for you to come home and that thought always brings her to tears.
