Chapter 4

I quickly used my magic to change my outfit. Then I walked into the museum. I walked through the halls to the cafe and looked around. I saw the black ranger picking up plates. He already had a big pile and he was starting to struggle. Then I saw the green ranger in the kitchen with the gold ranger, red ranger, and pink ranger. By the looks of things, the red ranger already had a crush on the pink ranger and the green ranger was too nerdy. Being too nerdy meant he was smart enough to see through my act. The gold ranger was too old fashioned to want a girl like me. The black ranger it is then. I walked into the cafe and "accidentally" knocked into the black ranger making him drop the plates. A few broke. He bent over to pick up the few that hadn't broken yet. I did the same.
ME: "I am so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was going!"
I reached for the same plate he was reaching for and our hands brushed against each other. I fought the urge to shutter. He looked at me and I looked at him. He slightly blushed.
"No. It's ok. No big deal."
We got the plates up and I followed him to the kitchen. I set the plates down and held out my hand.
ME: "I'm Eris. I came to apply for a job at the cafe. I'm a huge dino fan."
He took my hand and shook it.
"I'm Chase. It's nice to meet you. Funny, Heckyl just started here yesterday. I'll talk to Kenda- I mean Ms. Morgan to see about you working here."
ME: "Thank you."
He walked off leaving me in the kitchen with the red, gold, and pink rangers. The pink spoke up first.
"You haven't seen a guy with blue and brown hair with fingerless gloves on have you? He's late for work."
I shook my head.
ME: "Sorry."
"It's fine. I'm Shelby by the way."
ME: "Nice to meet you Shelby."
"I'm Riley."
I nodded.
"I'm Tyler."
"And I, my lady, am Ivan."
ME: "It's nice to meet all of you."
