Chapter 12

Nikki's Pov

*at Derek's apartment *

I woke up in an unfamiliar bed . I sat up and had a raging headache . I got up and shuffled out of the room . I found Derek sleeping on a couch and but woke up when I walked in . "Your awake ? How do you feel ?"

"I have a headache . and my chest and arm hurts a little . "

"That's from all the crying . And I'm pretty sure you broke your arm . Would you mind telling me what happened ? I mean you don't have to-" "No , I want to . It's the least I could do since you cared for me ."

I took a deep breath and told him everything . Just as I did with Ms. Blake . But this time , I tried to keep the tears in . I was at the part where I came home and I couldn't hold it any longer . I fell to my knees and screamed . Derek didn't flinch . "God . MY FUCKING STEPDAD RAPED ME TODAY . WHAT A GLEE . I hate my life . I hate it so fucking much . God , I hate being pushed around by Chris , my stepdad . I hate how I can never stand up for myself . I hate that I can't even talk to Isaac bc I'm a chicken . I hate that I can't punch Kenzie for stealing my man . I hate that -" "Wait ." "WHAT ?!"

Derek changed . He changed into some type of creature . I wasn't really scared bc I love monsters and such . But I never thought they existed .

"Nikki , I'm a werewolf . So is one of your best friends . I need to ask you something very important ."

Oh great . I have a crush on a werewolf . What has today turned into . "What ?"

"Do you want the bite ?"
