>Chapter 3<

The all too familiar house sat in front of me, just taunting me to come inside.

I could not bring myself to do it. So, here I was cowering in my brother's car in the driveway of my house.

At my house I should be able to feel at ease and relax, but not with what was awaiting me inside. I was extremely nervous to come face-to-face with what I had been dreading for the past few days. Meeting One Direction.

They were staying at our house for a few days while Liam was 'taking a few days off', so he claims. I knew the real reason is me. He was so worried that something might happen to me, it was rather annoying.

Only just realizing I was sub-consciously playing with a ringlet in my hair twirling it around my index finger, I stopped. This was a nervous habit I had always had, but I only fiddled with my hair when I was extremely nervous. What would they think of me?

"They will love you."

I glanced over at Liam who is still in the car with me. I had completely forgot he was still here. I guess I was too absorbed in my thoughts to even notice him.

I flashed him a small smile, but he quirked an eyebrow at me, questioning me. He could see right through my poker face. I let out small sigh, he knew me too well.

"Okay fine, you caught me. I am scared out of my wits to go in that house, I do not think they will like me," I replied sheepishly.

"Just be yourself, but I know they will adore you. Especially me being your brother." He winked at me and then opened the door of the car and got out, but I stayed put. I was trying to tell my body to go, but it refused to go anywhere, my muscles frozen.

My car door opened and a warm summer breeze whisked into the car, relaxing the tension I was feeling for just a split second.

"Are you going to get out of the car yourself, or do I have to carry you?" Liam asked.

A smirk spread on to my face and I replied, "Carry me like the princess I am!"

The next thing I knew I was being carried towards the house, bridal style. Now that's what I call service! I could get used to this.

My brother's strong, muscular arms wrapped around my tiny frame. I inspected Liam's arms and they had substantially grown since I last saw him. He must have really started working out. Have to please the fans now don't we?

My gaze travelled up to his face. The same dark, purple half crescents under his eyes still lingered, but had begun to fade. There was no more visible stubble concealing his face, he was clean-shaved. His brown hair was neatly quiffed to the side, his most recent way he has decided to style his hair.

I realized that his rhythmic steps had ceased and we had stopped at the front door.

Liam's warm, chocolate brown eyes glanced me, awaiting my approval. I heaved in a deep breath, composing myself for what laid ahead. Looking him in the eyes, I gave him a short nod.

He set me down very gently, probably thinking I was vulnerable as I just got out of the hospital. With the way he was treating me, I felt like a fragile porcelain piece that at any moment could just be broken or shattered.

I ran a quick hand through my curls, making sure they looked decent. Can't walk in on four teenage boys looking like a wreck now can I?

Liam stuck the key in the lock and unfastened it. The door handle turned and the door creaked open.
