Chapter 15: The Big Job!

       "This is the big job!" Lucy exclaimed. "I know." Naya stated. "Is Jack back?" Naya asked. "Got back yesterday." Lucy replied. "Is Jack and Maddie still doing the job?" Naya asked. "Yes." Lucy replied. "And Nico?" Naya asked. "Yes." Lucy responded. "Ian?" Naya asked. "Yeah." Lucy replied with a half smile. "How about Heather?" Lucy asked. "She's in." Naya responded and smiled. Lucy smiled too.
     There's an outside party and they're all there. Lucy was drinking a beer and on a bench. Naya and Heather were by the house talking and drinking beer. Jack was on another bench with Maddie on his lap and Nico next to him and they're all drinking beer. "Hey." Ian greeted sitting next to Lucy." Hi." Lucy greeted taking a sip of her beer. "Is everything okay?" Ian asked. "Yeah." Lucy responded. "Could you explain more about the job?" Ian asked. "Not here." Lucy replied and Ian nodded in understandment.
    Lucy looked at her watch and gave the signal. It's like a sulute but with the index and middle finger. The team nodded and they all went in the same direction. But Ian stopped her. "What are you doing?" Lucy asked. "If you do this you could get in big trouble." Ian replied. "What do you mean?" Lucy asked. Ian took a deep breath. "I'm a cop." Ian stated and Lucy felt tears in her eyes. "How dare you!?" Lucy asked. "I'm sorry." Ian apologized. By now the tears were steaming down her cheeks. "You lyed to me!" Lucy exclaimed. "I know. But...." Ian started. "No! You said you loved me! Made me believe you loved me! I loved you! You used me and played me! I can't believe you! Only a monster will do something like that!" Lucy explained. "I have never lied to you about my feelings." Ian instated. "We're over!" Lucy exclaimed. Lucy was about to walk away but Ian stopped her. "If you do this I might not be able to help you out of trouble." Ian warned. "You're the one trying to get me in trouble." Lucy stated and she walked away.
      Jack and Maddie are in a car together. Naya and Heather are in a car together. Nico was supposed to be in a car with Jack and Maddie but since the whole Ian thing he's in the car with Lucy. No one knows what happened between them. Lucy drove fast trying to distract herself.
     They're at the truck that has the million dollars. "Take the wheel!" Lucy exclaimed. Nico took the wheel and Lucy got out of the window and on the roof of the car. Nico is at the drivers seat. Lucy jumped on the truck and used a blow torch and started making a big circle on the back of the truck. Maddie got on top of her car and jumped on the truck. She climbed to the roof. The truck swirved to the side. Maddie held on tight but Lucy almost fell off. He swirved again and smashed in Nico's car making him roll down the hill. Lucy fell back and a different car caught her, Ian's car. She held on and jumped in threw the passengers side. "You!" Lucy exclaimed. "You didn't notice?" Ian asked. "All I was noticing is me falling." Lucy stated sarcastically.
       Naya's and Jack's cars are hooked to the truck so they can put the money there. Maddie climbed in the back so she can transfer the money. Heather climbed out and did the same. They transfered money from the truck to the cars.
     Ian started driving Lucy away. "Where are we going?" Lucy asked. "To save you " Ian replied. "What about my family?" Lucy asked. "The cops will get them." Ian replied. "What!? No! I have to help them! Nico might be hurt!" Lucy explained. "I need you to be safe!" Ian exclaimed. "I don't care about me! I care about my family!" Lucy exclaimed. "Lucy opened the door and jumped out. "Lucy!" Ian called and he stopped the car. Lucy ran and saw the car upside down. She opened the drivers seat door and tried to get Nico out. Ian went over and Lucy sighed. "Go away!" Lucy demanded. "Let me help." Ian stated. Lucy was about to say no but then she looked at Nico and knew she needed help to save him. "Fine." Lucy agreed and Ian got him out. "It's going to blow." Ian stated. Ian put Nico on his shoulder and grabbed Lucy's hand and ran. The car exploded but they were safe.
        Heather and Maddie got as much money as they could and got in the cars. Jack helped Ian put Nico in the backseat. They heard cop sirens. "He needs to go to the hospital." Ian stated. "No. He risks going to jail or prison." Lucy stated. "I could tell then he's just a bystander who got hurt." Ian stated. "No." Lucy stated. "Lucy." Ian stated. "We don't have much time." Ian stated. There was a moment of silence. "Fine." Jack agreed. Lucy looked at him. "He's family. He needs help." Jack stated and Lucy sighed. "Fine." Lucy agreed. Jack and Ian put Nico on the grass. Lucy and Ian looked at each other as the cops got closer. "Lucy! We need to go now!" Naya stated. Lucy went in their car and both cars drove away. Ian just watched them drive away.
      Nico was in the hospital and when he got out, thanks to Ian, no one knew he helped them. Jack picked Nico up and they left. Lucy, Naya, Heather, Jack, Maddie, and Nico moved to San Francisco. They lived in houses in the middle of no where where there aren't that many houses around. Ian is still a cop but doesn't like it anymore. He likes Lucy's life and misses her a lot. Lucy is still upset about what happened with Ian.
