I'm Kassidy Johnson and I officially hate my life. On the last day of my junior year my dad got a job offer in California.. freaking California I have always wanted to move to Cali but not now! So I'm leaving behind everything I once had my friends, my job, my childhood experiences all of it and most importantly my head cheerleading title since Freshman year.

So as of right now I'm walking around my now empty room as I think back on how just two months ago it was filled with everything I owned. As I make my way around my room I hear my mom call

"Kassidy , come down we will be leaving soon"

"Coming" I sigh, as I close my room door.  Now for the big move .

As we exit the airport I see the taxi cab pull into our view.
"Mom can I sit in the front seat "my little brother Josh says as he pulls out his phone.

Other than me, my entire family is excited about the move. Josh is excited because he is going to be entering high school, he wanted a fresh start as the new kid and would not be noticed .
My mom will start a new job as a Pediatrician at the new office and my dad will began as the head Anesthesiologist at the hospital. And me I have to start all over as a cheerleader just to get a spot on the team. As the ride goes on I drift to sleep listening to my head phones.

"Kass, get up we're home" my brother screams excitedly.
"Okay, okay I'm up.... woahhhh" was the only thing I was able to say as I look out the window.

Our new house is beautiful or should I say mansion. This heartfelt house embodies the angelic imagery of a perfect home. The unique sense of style captured each location of art. It is a two story home with a creamish beige texture with two long white poles on each side of the door. When we walked up the stairs, I look around in awe as I thought about how our home in Louisiana was not as big as this. I was pulled out of my trance when I noticed the fountain and the beautiful big reddish brown entrance door . When my dad unlocked the front door I could not help but notice all of our furniture have been put into place by the movers. The cream and brown chaise, the love seat, the table covered with our family photos framed , our 75' plasma television . To the right of the entrance was the first guest bathroom.

"Mom how many rooms and bathrooms do we have?" I asked in awe.

" 6 bedrooms, 4 full baths, and 3 1/2 bathrooms which our guest will use while visiting , and the family, the living room, your dads office, and of course the kitchen" my mom said all in one breath.

"Woahhh", me and my brother said simultaneously.

"Which room is mine? I wanna see it " Josh said.

"Third door on the left upstairs" answered our mom"Kass, your room is the second door on the right."

We ran up the stairs to our rooms.

My room consist lavender walls, purple carpet, a king size bed with cream sheets, a lavender spread, brown, purple and lavender pillows. My dresser and night stand on each side of my bed one with a lamp and the other with my alarm clock. On my desk sat my laptop, my Mac computer and my office chair and my cup filled with pencils, pens, and highlighters my notebooks and folders are already placed neatly. My book shelf was already assembled and all of my books already placed in by titles alphabetically. My trophy case filled with academic awards and all of my cheer trophies since I was six. I walked through my closet each thing in different sections based on the season of the year. My sweaters, boots , and heavy coats all in a section in the drawer labeled. My shoes separated by sandals, boots, tennis shoes, heels, and workout shoes. I walked out of my closet to the bathroom everything in place. Towels neatly folded on the shelves, toothpaste, deodorant, soap , shampoo, conditioner, and other products under the sink. As soon as I step out of my bathroom, my brother walked in casually.

"No fair you have a bathroom"

"Yeah, you don't" I shrugged.

"No, I think they just like you better"

I laughed, and said " can I check out your room?"

"hurry, don't touch anything"

I rolled my eyes at the last thing he said and walked past him.

The kitchen was absolutely amazing. We have an island counter with reddish brown cabinetry, silver two door fridge and freezer, silver oven, beautiful black and silver microwavable oven. I have definitely fell in love with this house.

"Hey sweetie, how do you like the new house?" My dad asked sipping his coffee.

"I actually love it dad, but I still wish we were home in Louisiana with my friends "I sighed

"It will get better soon sweetheart, just wait a while" he said kissing my forehead. "I was wondering if you wanted to go to the Senior orientation tomorrow, with your brother while he goes to his Freshman orientation ?"

"Can I drive the Mercedes?"

"Sure, why not?"

"I love you dad!"

As you can see, my dad spoils me rotten, my friends back home would tell me it's only because I'm a human mutt child. That is because my dad is mixed with Indian and African American. My mom is Caucasian and African American. I get almost all of my features from my mom except for my eyes and my hair.
I have eyes that change colors, some days they are hazel, green, hazel and green, and bluish grey.
My hair is sandy brown with blonde highlights that is curly to my shoulders but when I straighten it, it is in my mid back. I have smooth caramel skin. I am 5'3 and since I'm a cheerleader i am naturally fit.

My brother is the exact opposite of me 5'7 even at his age he is very tall and he has caramel skin but he has plain brown eyes and brown curly hair.

My mom is the same height as me 5'3 with caramel curly brown hair and hazel eyes.

My dad is 6'0, black hair, mocha skin, and brown eyes. So I am the odd one in the family but I like the attention I receive.
"Kass, go to bed you have a long day tomorrow" my dad yelled as i spun around in the island chair.

"Okay, good night dad!" I said dizzily laughing.
