13 ~ Friends

I woke up at 6:43am. Thursday. We were in the same positions as last night. I slowly started to lift my head. I carefully moved his arms off me to get out of bed. But he grabbed me and pulled me close to him. He placed his chin on my head. My face was shoved to his chest and my legs were trying to move away from him.

" Lucas!" My voiced muffled.

" I wanna sleep Riley." He whined.

" We have school!" My voice muffled again.

" But I'm tired."

" How are you tired?"

He pulled his chin off my head and looked at me. Our eyes met.

" What we did last night was work."

"Stop making it sound like we did something else." I giggled.

He pulled me back and put his chin on my head.

" Lucas. We have to get ready for school." I whined.

" Can I have a kiss first?"

I rolled my eyes and gave him a little peck on the lips. He smiled with his eyes closed. I chuckled at how dumb he looked. He finally opened his eyes and let me go. I grabbed my outfit and changed. I had all my undergarments on so I just changed in front of him. He didn't state cause he's not that type of person. Instead he went to go change too. Except he did it in the bathroom.

I went to the kitchen and grabbed two apples. One for Lucas, and one for me. I gobbled mine up and Lucas ate his after I was done.

I went to the bathroom to tie my hair up, wash my face, and brush my teeth. Lucas came into the bathroom with me. He slipped his arms around my waist, behind me. I held his arms that were holding me.

" I love you Riley." Lucas whispered into my ear.

" I love you too." I whispered back.

I stroked his cheek gently. His eyes were closed and he had his chin in the crock of my neck.

BEEP BEEP!

I got scared.

" OH MY GOD!" I yelled.

We both laughed.

" It's my alarm. We should start heading to school."

" Yeah.... We should."

He kissed the back of my head and went out the bathroom. I followed him. We grabbed our backpacks and headed out the door.

When we got to school, we headed to our lockers. Lucas' locker is far from mine so we had to go separate ways.

" I'll be back." He whispered.

I watched as he walked to his locker. I opened my locker and grabbed my books out for my next class. When I closed the locker, Missy was standing there with a disgusted look on her face.

I rolled my eyes and started to walk away. She grabbed my wrist, making me turn her way.

" You did not just roll your eyes at me!" She yelled.

" Well I did."

" UGH! " She yelled.

She started to walk past me but then she shoved me against the lockers. I started to feel pain on my waist. She was holding me there. I groaned with pain.

" Listen to me Matthews. Your gonna go back into the shadows and stay there."

I blinked my eyes, trying to focus on her. She then took her hands against my neck and pulled me off the ground, against the locker.

" Or this will happen again. " She growled.

I gasped for air. My head was getting dizzy. I can't breath. I kicked my legs, trying to get away.

" LET HER GO!" I heard Lucas yell.

Missy imminently dropped me to the ground and turned towards Lucas. She smiled and held her hands between her back.

" Hey the Lucas." She giggled.

I looked back to the ground. My head spinning. Me coughing, to get all the toxic carbon dioxide out of my system.

Lucas bent down next to me.

" Riley. Are you okay?" He whispered.

I kept on coughing. I felt Lucas stroke my arm.

~ Missy's p.o.v ~

He bent down next to Riley and stroked her arm. All I could hear was Riley coughing. Lucas' mouth was moving but I couldn't hear anything.

" Missy?" I heard a familiar voice speak.

I snapped my body toward that direction. It was Maya.

" Yeees."

" Did you do that? To Riley?"

" Yes I did. Aren't you proud?"

She shook her head and ran to Riley, who was already starting to get off the floor. I hate Matthews so much. She is so pathetic. She doesn't deserve Lucas. I deserve him. Lucas belongs to a cheerleader. Like me!

~ Riley's p.o.v ~

I finally got off the ground and stopped coughing. Maya came running to me. She hugged me and for the first time. I hugged back.

" Riley. I'm sorry for ever hurting you."

" I'm sorry for letting you hurt me. "

She released me from the hug.

" Friends?"

" Friends."

We crossed our leg, flicked our hair back. And then placed our hand out.

" Stop it." We both said.

I heard Lucas chuckle, behind me. I forgot he was there.

The bell rang. We all scurried to our class.
