Forever Together || Part 2

12 ~ nice day?

We stare into each others eyes like nothing in the world is happening around us. But a lot of things are. I look away.

" Lucas... What am I going to do? What's gonna happen if my mom doesn't want me anymore? " I look back at him.

He gives me a sad smile.

" Lucas what if I get set up for adoption?" I start panicking. " I don't want to, Luc-"

" Hey hey hey. Riley. " he takes my hands and holds it. " We will get through this. Together."

I hug him and he hugs back.

" Thank you, Lucas." I whisper.

" No thank you."

" For what?"

I pull my arms, from the hug and look at him while he looks back at me.

" For being mine."

The way he looks at me makes me fall in love with him even more. We started to lean in, closer to where our lips were almost touching. But then my phone rang. Someone was calling me. I sigh and slip my legs off his thighs and grab my phone to awnser it.

" You owe me when your done." Lucas chuckled.

I smile at him as he does.

" Hello?" I asked.

" Riley. It's your mother."

" Oh. H-hey mom."

" Don't hey me! Your father is coming home. I'm staying in Paris with Auggie. We're getting a divorce."

" WHAT?! But what about me?!" I yell.

" Oh honey. I don't exactly care about you. I only care about my baby Auggie."

" MOM IM NOT YOUR BABY! AND I WANT TO LIVE WITH RILEY! " I hear Auggie shout in the background.

" WELL TO BAD! YOUR STAYING WITH ME!" She screams at him.

I hear him crying in the background.

" I DON'T WANT TO MOM! "

" Mom... Maybe you should let Auggie live with dad and I. He wants to so let him."

" SHUT YOUR FACE RILEY! GOOD DAY!"

While she hangs up the phone, I hear Auggie screaming and crying. My poor brother. I just want to grab him from the phone and hug him. I wish I said my last good byes- no. I wish he could live with us. Like how he wanted to.

" Riley? Are you okay."

I can finally feel all the tears streaming down my face. I shake my head and call my dad. He picks up the phone.

" Dad! Hi. I heard that you and mom are getting a divorce..." I say sadly.

" Y-Yeah. That woman is crazy. Auggie wanted to come live with us but... She wouldn't let him. " I hear him mumble.

" I'm sorry daddy."

" It's fine. At least I get to live with my daughter."

I hear a lady speaking in the background.

" Sweetie. I have to go. I will see you in a few days. I'm at a hotel because the earliest plane flight I got to go home is in a week."

" Wait dad! I'm at the hospital."

" WHAT?! HOW?!"

" It's a long story. I'll tell you later. I'm coming home today so, that's the good news."
