Scraped Knee

Birthday

Today is my birthday! I'm so excited! But I was also worried that Chris would go all out. Probably because he missed my birthday 2 times. I was rudely awoken today. Chris had jumped onto my bed causing me to fall out. I let out a strange squeal. I heard Chris laughing so I looked to where he was and sent him a glare. I got up off the floor and looked at him.
"That was rude" I said simply as I climbed back onto bed, "I should be allowed to lay in bed all day since it's my birthday."
"No can do, little sister. Today is your birthday and I've missed your birthday two times so now I'm going to make up for it" he said taking the covers and pillows.
"I can still lay here all day" I mumbled as I buried my face into the mattress. Chris chuckled and shook his head.
"No you can't" he said before he picked me up. I frowned and gave him a glare when he had picked me up.
"Just let me sleep. I would like to be sleeping at the moment" I said as I reached for my phone. I got ahold of it and looked at the time, "YOU WOKE ME UP AT 7:30 AM!"
"If I woke you up any later we were going to be late" Chris said before he put me down once I was off the bed, "now get dressed and then put on this blindfold. I'll wait for you outside your room."
"I hate you" I said as he started to walk out of the room.
"I love you" he said before shutting the door. I sighed and went over to my closet looking for something I could wear. I picked out a sweater and some jeans before I put the blindfold on, heading out into the hallway. Chris gently took my hand and guided me down the hallway. He pulled off the blindfold and I saw everyone standing below a sign that said Happy Birthday. I smiled seeing Scott and the others. Also the whole Avengers cast. I laughed a little seeing Channing. Or I should say Mr Tatum.
"Surprise!" They all yelled making me smile widely before I rushed over giving hugs to all of them. This was awesome. All I wanted was to have everyone all together for my birthday like a big family. I enjoyed being with everyone.
We had cake and I opened the presents that people got me. I got a new laptop and some other stuff. Especially a book of pranks. After everyone left, I sat on the couch with Chris and watched some movies with him. He was the best brother ever. I laid my head back against the seat and smiled as we watched a Disney movie. I heard the faint sound of my big brother humming along to the tune. It was very soft and sweet. It was also really soothing.
"Chris?" I asked softly as I closed my eyes just a little listening to his humming. His gentle hum stopped once he heard my face. He hummed in response before I talked again, "can you sing to me?"
"Sure, Aubrey" he said moving my hair from my face. He sung to the tune of Part of Your World. It was really soothing. I closed my eyes and soon found myself falling asleep on the couch curled up with my feet laying upon my brother's lap. It was pretty comfortable.

Sorry for not updating this story in a super long time😁 I feel really bad. I haven't been able to figure out what I wanted to do with this book or some other books of mine. I'm thinking about doing a few more chapters and then ending this book. I'm not sure yet~ Kenlee Faith❤️
