If I Could Save You OHSHC Fanfic [Yaoi/ BxB]

Part 2

It has been a month since I began to live with Kai, and it has taken a lot of adjusting, but it has gotten easier. However... let's just say I haven't been doing too well mentally. I practically stopped eating, I only get around one or two hours of sleep each night, and the only people I talk to are Kai and his parents.

Kai comes busting into our room with a smile that shows both excitement and worry somehow at the same time. "Ash! Guess what?"

I lift my head slightly from the pillow it was previously submerged in and look at him. "What is it?"

"Okay, don't freak out. I know it has taken a while for you to get used to living here with us, but what I think you need is a new start!"

"Is that so?" I say sarcastically with a stoic expression.

"Yeah! Of course! So, the perfect way to get a new start is a change! Something big!" Kai says with excitement.

"Okay, so..."

"Well, to get to the point, we're moving to Japan." he says quickly then looks to see my reaction.

My reaction is probably exactly what he was expecting. My eyes widen, I sit up quickly in my bed, and I scream "What?!" I look at him to see Kai giving me his wide, million dollar smile. "But I don't even know Japanese!" I yell.

"I know, I know. But you have time! We're moving in three months."

"Three months?!" I compose myself a bit in order to ask calmly, "Why?"

"Well, before all this happened, I applied for a scholarship to this really great school in Japan called Ouran Academy. You have to be either really really rich or really smart to get in. And I found out not too long ago that I got in! It's a great opportunity for me, so I'm gonna take it." Kai twiddles his thumbs and glances at me.

"And I'm going with you..." I trail off as I think of the situation rationally.

"Yeah! Remember what you said a month ago? That you didn't want to go to an orphanage? My parents are thinking of legally adopting you! Plus, you're smart, I think you could get in the school with me." He smiles encouragingly at me.

"Kai, I haven't even gone to school here since... well, what happened. Let alone a rich people school in Japan."

He sighs. "Ash, you have to go back to school at some point, and I think it'd be best if you went to school with me. Honestly, I'm worried about you. You hardly eat or sleep and you don't talk to anyone but me, Mom, and Dad. You barely even go outside. You need to go back to school. Plus, I'll help you, and I'm sure the Headmaster will understand and put us in the same classes."

I nod my head slowly as I think it over. "Maybe..." I mumble.

"See, it won't be so bad. Mom is getting us some classes to learn Japanese."

I nod again with more confidence, getting used to the idea of moving away to Japan and even of going back to school. Maybe this will be good for me. Maybe, after I start going to school, I can make more friends and get over what happened. Well, that may be wishful thinking. I don't think anyone can fully come back from what I've been through, but maybe I can get a little closer to moving on in my life and recovering from this. Just one step closer to getting better.

"Ash! Have you packed yet?" Kai asks as he runs up to me. I shake my head from my position on my bed. "What?! We leave tomorrow morning! Come on! Get up, get up, get up!" He pulls my hand and literally drags me out of bed.

"Agh!" I scream as I fall to the floor with a loud 'thump'. I stand up and brush myself off as I glare at Kai. "That was highly unnecessary." I mumble.

"Oh shut up. I'll help you pack!" He grabs my big, red suitcase from my closet and starts shoving things in it.

"Hey! You have to fold them!" I yell at him and take out all the clothes he carelessly threw into the bag.

I begin to fold the clothes neatly when Kai starts laughing at me. "Hey, there's nothing wrong with being neat and clean. At least I'm not a slob," I mutter the last part, but he apparently hears me.

He stops laughing in order to over-dramatically gasp. "You take that back," he whispers.

I chuckle slightly and decide to play along. "And why should I?"

Kai gives out a loud battle cry and tackles me to the ground. He sits on my stomach and starts to tickle my side. "Take it back!" he yells as I laugh uncontrollably due to the tickling.

"O-okay!" I manage to scream in between laughs. He chuckles and jumps off of me.

"Good. Now, let's finish packing!" He runs over to the suitcase and starts folding quickly. I chuckle at his excited behavior and join him.

Chapter Two is done!! Sorry it was kinda short.
But next chapter they go to Japan! That's when the story REALLY starts.
