If I Could Save You OHSHC Fanfic [Yaoi/ BxB]

Part 6

'What am I doing?' I ask myself as I sit next to Kai on our first day of hosting. As soon as the customers heard that two new hosts had joined the Host Club, they were immediately surrounded and bombarded with questions.

"Ash-kun, Kai-kun, why did you join the Host Club?" a customer with blonde, wavy hair asks. The other girls quickly nod their head, also wanting to know the answer.

I look over at Kai, wanting him answer for the both of us. As I had hoped, he smiled kindly at them and answers, "Well, when we found out that such beautiful ladies came to this school, we knew we just had to join, right Ash?" I nod my head and give a small grin.

The girls all blush a deep crimson color. Kai smirks at me, and I smile back in response. I hear choruses of "They're so cute!" and "KAWAII!" 

Then, another customer with short, red hair asks a question, but to me it sounds muffled. My eyes grow heavy and it becomes harder to keep my head up and my eyes open. 'I guess when you don't get enough sleep for over a month it catches up with you,' I think. Finally, I give in and lay my head on Kai's shoulder.

3rd Person POV:

The girls start squealing over Ash's sleeping form with his mouth open slightly and his chest rising and falling slowly. Kai puts his finger in front of his lips, shushing them. "Please, don't wake him," he says, almost desperately, but this fact goes unnoticed by everyone except for the observant Haruhi and Kyoya. 

"Well, ladies," Kyoya says quietly, "it seems it is closing time." The girls groan and whine childishly, but comply. 

As the girls leave the room, Kai adjusts Ash so his head is laying in Kai's lap. Ash curls up into a little ball and sighs in content. 

"Wouldn't it be easier to simply lay him on the couch?" Kai jumps slightly, but shakes his head in response to Kyoya's words.

"He has to have someone with him when he sleeps, or else he'll have nightmares." Kai explains.

The hosts slowly start gathering around Kai. "Why?" the twins ask.

He shakes his head. "It's not my story to tell, but, let's just say that Ash has gone through more than anyone should." He wipes his watery eyes and glances down at Ash with a brotherly look. "Anyways, we should be getting home soon, Mom will worry."

"We? Do you and Ash-chan live together?" Honey asks from on top of Mori's shoulders. 

Kai nods his head. "We're brothers. We adopted Ash about four months ago, after..." he trails off as he stares at Ash's peaceful face. 

"After what?" Haruhi asks. 

Kai shakes his head. "Like I said, it's not my story to tell." He wipes his eyes once more, then finally looks up at the hosts. "Anyways, can one of you give us a ride home?"

Kyoya speaks up. "I can." He walks over to Ash and picks him up bridal style. He looks too Kai. "Shall we?"

He nods, and they both head towards the door.

"Do you think he knows?" Haruhi asks the hosts. 

"Knows what?" the twins look at her curiously.

"Ash's story. Kai said it wasn't his story to tell, but, chances are, it's in Ash's files." Haruhi stares at the door where Kyoya, Ash, and Kai were only a moment ago.

"You're probably right," Tamaki says, serious for once. "He probably won't tell us though. I guess we'll have to wait until Ash wants to tell us."

Everyone nods in solemn agreement.

Sorry it's so short!!! And it kinda sucks... BUT I HAVE AN EXCUSE

I wrote the WHOLE CHAPTER, then it DISAPPEARED! I was so saaaad!!
