1 Year Later
~Alexis POV~
I step out of the car, Evan taking my hand since he blindfolded me the whole trip.
'Babe, can I take this off now?' I whined.
I heard him chuckle as he took of the scarf and I stared in awe at what was right in front of me.
'Evan, you bought a house?!' I yelped in shock.
'Yeah, no offense, babe, but your appartment is way too small if we need to raise Hayley. Sheneeds space to play when she gets older.' He clutched my hand and led me inside.
This wasn't just a house, it was enormous.
It counted a huge kitchen, a gigantic living room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Evan smirked at my shocked face. 'Wait until you see the garden.'
He led me to a huge, glass porch, I walked out of the glass door to end up at a beautiful terrace.
The garden was huge, the grass looked so green, so fresh.
I felt Evan's hands on my shoulders as he kissed my cheek softly. 'I was thinking of putting a swingset over there,' He said as he pointed at the garden. 'And a sandpit right there.'
I walked closer into the garden and found a swimming pool. 'A pool?! Ev, this must've cost you a fortune!'
'Nah.' He said shrugging. 'So, do you like it?'
I turned around to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. 'I love it. And you.' I said as I kissed his lips.
Taissa, Ev's coworker on set, opened the door as we walked in, se carried Hayley in her arms.
'Thanks for taking care of her.' Evan smiled.
'No problem! I love it! She is just amazing!' She laughed as we walked further to her living room.
'You think so? Try having her for a night, you'll be...' Evan stopped in the middle of a sentence as we ntered the living room, which revealed Emma.
They hadn't really spoke to eachother since the breakup, Evan moved in a few weeks after and since then,...
Taissa was the one to break the silence. 'Sorry, she came over unexpectedly.'
Emma walked over to usand to my suprise, she smiled at me.
I gave her an awkward grin.
'You guys have the cutest baby ever! She's just such a sweetheart.' Emma smiled.
'She wraps everyone around her finger.' Evan said, trying his best to flash smile.
There was a very awkward silence and it lasted too long.
'Emma, do you think we could talk for a minute?' He asked while scratching the back of his neck.
She just nodded and led him to the terrace as I sat down with Taissa, admiring my beautiful daughter.
~Evan's POV~
'Listen, Evan,' Emma started. 'I'll be in this season and I just don't want things to be awkward.'
'That was exactly what I wanted to ask you.' I said. 'I'm sorry for what I have done to you but,...'
Emma held up her hand to silence me. 'Evan, it's been over a year now, I have come to understand that some things just happen. Everything happens for a rason, ad I just want to be your friend, and hopefully maybe a babysitter because Hayley is the cutest baby I've ever seen.'
I laughed. 'Of course. I'm so glad you understand, but uh,... How have you been doing?'
'Relax, I'm good.' She smiled.
'Listen,we'e friends now,right?'
She nodded.
'I need to ask you something...'
~Alexis POV~
Hayley is sending the night at Evan's mom.
His family has a liking on me, which I felt really good about of course.
But tonight we didn't had to worry about families, tonight was our night.
Evan took me to really fance restaurant, he wore a tuxedo and I wore a red, skintight dress, revealing just enough but not too much, with my black Louboutins,a gift from Evan
We sat eating in silence, Evan was awfully silent tonight.
'Babe, is something wrong?' I asked him.
'No, babe.' He said as he took my hand in his from the opposite side of the table. 'Everything is fine.'
'You look nervous. Are you sure?' I asked.
'Yeah.'
'Did something happened earlier today? With Emma, maybe?' I asked.
Evan sighed as he gestured something to one of the waiters. 'No, babe, I'm just nervous.'
'Nervous, for what?' I asked him but he didn't reply.
I wanted to say something but was cut off by the lights tht dimmed.
I watched Evan take something out of his pocket and went down on one knee.
Oh My God. Before he could even say a word my hand flew to my mouth as tears stung in my eyes.
Evan smiled nervously seeing ny reaction as he began to speak. 'Alexis Young, I have known you today for a year and four months, and you might think I am rushing things, but I have thought this through, believe me. You're the most beautiful, funny, talented, social and just an amazin person and when I met you, everything fell into place. I want you, Alexis, now and forever. And I will never give up on you. Will you marry me?'
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I wathed him, with a beautiful diamond ring in his hand and on one knee, tears in his eyes as he waited formy response, so vulnerable.
'Yes! Yes! Yes!' I cried as Evan slipped the ring on my finger.
We both stood up and I stared into his eyes as the other people applaused for us.
Our lips met in a passionate, needy kiss.
'I love you.' I whispered.
'I love you more.' He smiled as I rested my head in the crook of his neck.
We sat back down at our table and Evan made this goofy, happy dance move as I laughed at him.
Best. Night. Ever.
