"IKER!!!" I screamed as the glass hallway shattered and filled with snow. My mind began to race as I reached down to grab Iker. Why was it snowing? How could this have broken the glass? Are we going to die?! I was able to grab Iker's hand, but the snow and the weather was FREEZING. How could've this happened?
"DJ!" Iker screamed at me, " Please don't let me fall! It's freezing!"
"Don't worry I got you!"I screamed back. The weather just got colder and colder. The snow seemed like it was already 3 feet deep. It was from that moment on that I knew that my life would never be the same again. The snow began to beat on my body hard. My skin began to burn from the cold. We had to get out of the open and inside somewhere safe FAST! I tightened my grip on Iker's arm and yanked him up. He was finally able to grab the edge of the glass hallway.
"AGH" Iker screamed as he pulled up on the ledge. He had cut his palm on a piece of glass as he pulled up. It was a deep cut, and he would need a bandage quick before he bled out. As he pulled his leg up onto the broken hallway floor I grabbed his shoulder to pull him up as we ran. As we ran we could see the tons and tons of snow falling onto the ground. We were ways away from that broken hallway, but we still felt like we were dying of hypothermia. We were still lost, but this time we were freezing to. We arrived at the long hallway leading to the giant staircase. Finally! We weren't lot anymore. As we ran to the steps the shadow of the snow glistened on to the floor. Suddenly we hear a scream.
"STOP RIGHT THERE" the security guard boomed as he jumped out from the corner of the hallway, taser in hand, " YOU HOOLIGANS HAVE RUN A MUCK AROUND HERE FOR TOO LONG!" He began to scream as he walked closer with his finger ready on the trigger.
"Listen Mr. you don't understand." Iker screamed cautiously back at him, "Something has happened, there is a terrible blizzard!" The security guard began to notice the winds and tons of snow blowing in the windows.
"No snowstorm on EARTH is going to keep me from taking kids like you in!" He shouted back at us. He began to walk towards us, he wanted to pull that trigger so bad. Suddenly a GIANT hand burs-ted through the wall. I've never seen anything like it. It was almost like a humongous bear claw made of snow and rock hard ice. I wrapped it's long thick fingers around that security guard and sucked him out of the window into the snowy blizzard. You could hear his screams as he struggled out of the giant snow paw. Suddenly, his screams were cut out by a loud crunch sound. e knew what had happened. This "thing had ate this man. And for all we knew, it was going to eat us to. We turned around and ran back into the maze of hallways. The only way to escape this beast, was to try and get as far into the building as we could. We made a sharp left and turned into a dark corridor. We could hear the beast's panting snarls as he chased us. We continued down the dark corridor until a smash from the giant fist blocked our path.
" Come on back here" Iker yelled at me quickly. He grabbed my arm and pulled me into a branching hallway. We ran down that hallway, and soon found a classroom. We saw a lot of classroom's before in this place, but this room was different. It was a perfect place to hide from the beast. We opened the door quietly yet quickly and ran in. There was a closet in the back of the room. It was a perfect place for hiding from the beast. Iker ripped open the closet door, and urged me inside. I ran inside, and waited for Iker to come in after me. He tip toed in and shut the door behind him. We quietly walked into the the back of the closet. We were well hidden, but there was a little peephole where we could see the classroom. Suddenly the growling of the beast appeared again. Iker began to quiver, but I began to get intrigued. I got closer to the peephole wondering what was going to happen. Suddenly a giant fist punched through the wall of the classroom. Luckily the punch just missed us, but only by a few inches. I began to get more and more intrigued to what was happening. Iker just got more and more terrified. Slowly but surely a face began to emerge through the giant hole. It was the face of a bear, just way bigger and made of snow and ice. It looked like the creature had been in a fight, for it's eye was slashed and his fist we had seen before looked like it had a couple marks on it. The beast began to growl again, almost as if it was sensing our presence. "Get down DJ!" Iker whispered at me. He yanked me down and we both hid as we heard the vicious growls coming closer. The growls just got closer and closer until we could see the beast's cold breath waft through the peephole. We hut our eyes terrified of what was going to happen next. I opened my eyes again. I decided to welcome my fate, and looked up to see where the beast was. His breath wasn't coming through the peephole anymore! He must have gone. I poked Iker and opened the closet door. All that was left was of the creatures presence was the giant hole in the wall. We were safe! I yanked Iker and we ran out of the classroom. The beast must have been gone a while, for when we went into the hallway all we saw were giant holes all over. This place was barely a hallway anymore. We were out in the open with all of these holes. If the beast was still here, he would surely see us. We were freezing more than ever now, and we were terrified as well. I didn't even have to yank Iker this time. He ran with me. We had to get to the pool now. The only thing that could help us right now is more people. Soon we arrived at the hallway where that poor security guard was eaten alive. This hallway was still in ok shape. The only hole in it was the one the beast had made before. We made it to the steps and quickly jostled down them. All of a sudden we paused. There was a giant hole in the staircase. The only way we could get down is if we jumped, and we were 10 feet up. I looked at Iker wondering what to do. I was expecting him to turn around with a scared face and ask what to do, but instead he did what I wouldn't have expected him to do EVER. He jumped. And then I did something I thought I would never do. I jumped after him. I hit the ground hard. It didn't hurt that much though. I think the adrenaline from the jumping masked most of the pain. Iker and I got up quickly, ready to tell the people what was happening. We ran out of the hallway and this made a sharp left instead of a right. Soon we arrived at more steps, but these weren't broken. Iker and I climbed the stairs as fast as we could. We stopped when we arrived at a window of the pool. They were already hit by the blizzard. The windows were smash, and the pool was slowly freezing over. There were tons of kids on the deck freezing and watching something in the pool.My eyes turned to the pool and saw that there was something big floating in it. We though it was a kick board or something so me and Iker left. We found more steps leading down to the pool. We raced down those steps, and arrived at a door with a small porthole window on it. Iker and I pushed the door open, and were immediately welcome with a cold blast off wind. It was colder than it ever has been before, but we could push through it. We walked to the other kids and coaches. You could tell that the kids were terrified and freezing. I turned to one of them ad talked.
"Are you guys ok?" I asked one kid.
"I am" the kid replied, he began to point out to the freezing pool,"but he isn't." I looked over to the freezing pool, and saw it. That "kick board" I saw before wasn't a kick board, it was a kid. A knocked out kid was about to get frozen over in the pool. I looked around and saw the coaches. They were so scared that they couldn't do anything. No one was going to save this kid. It was at this moment that I knew what I had to do. I had to save this kid from freezing to death, and ultimately cheat death by doing so.........
