Marnie
Whenever I jogged to the park, Jack was always there. I usually just ignore him or turn the other way. Maybe I was over-reacting.
It's been a week since I came back. I haven't seen Allie lately considering she was practically gone everyday and night, either partying with Evan or being with Evan.
When she came home all she talked about was Evan. Evan this, Evan that. She soon got really annoying. I couldn't take it. I sometimes think I'm going to loose it.
-----
Sitting on my bed there was a knock at the door.
"Come in." I said. I looked towards the door to see if anyone was going to open it
Something came from under the door. I got up and picked it up. It looked like a letter. Turning it over it had my name on it in cursive. I careful opened it making sure not to tear the neatly folded note. It read:
Meet me at the park at 8:00
Well thats pretty short. Should I be worried about this? What if it's a rapist or something? Opening my door I looked both ways to see if anyone was there.
I walked over to Allie's room to make sure she was asleep before I left. I didnt want her to worry. Walking down the stairs I tried not to make any noise but my mom heared me.
"Marnie?" She called from her room.
Darn it. "Ya mom?"
"Where are you going?" The first thing I thought was 'I'm 21 I can go wherever I want' but if I snap back, I won't be going anywhere.
"I just forgot something in the car." I said crossing my fingers hoping she would let me go.
"Ok," she said. Relieved, I took my phone, and walked to the park. Taking my usual route I tried to hurry up seeing that it was 7:56.
I had made it to the park and I have never been here at night. I walked over to the bench and sat down. It was 8:12 and getting sort of cold. I wish I brought my sweater.
Rubbing my arms up and down my arms to produce at least some heat a jacket came around my shoulders. I tensed up.
"You seem cold." A familier voice said in my ear.
