IMPORTANT-ish: This is not the original chpt 13. I actually stopped the story but after a long time of thinking I've decided to rewrite the last chapter and continue it.

Marnie

The woman's grasp on my arm was tight and there was probably going to be a bruise later.

"Where are we going?" I said gasping as we reached the entrance of the apartment complex.

Stopping she turned and said,"We are not going anywhere you are getting away from here."

"But what was all that about?" Gesturing towards the apartments.

"That boy has been bringing girls in for a long time. The girls are always either drunk or drugged or completely lost and confused. I'm tired of it. I don't know what goes in there and I don't want to know but this has to stop." She turned towards the building before facing me and saying,"Go. Run and never come back."

Eyes wide and tearing up I gave her a hug. "Thank you so much."

Nodding her head she turned and left, the bat swung over her shoulder.

Walking home didn't take long. Though I was freaking out and my hands were shaking like crazy that I could barely look at my phone for directions without dropping.

My step were soft along the sidewalk. The deserted road and quiet rustle of the trees made for a peaceful night.

Someone stood about 20 feet in front of me making me stop.

My heartbeat sped up. Could it be Ethan?

The he collapsed.

Whoever this was probably needed my help. Running over to the body I dropped down to my knees beside him. Blood was everywhere making for a gory scene. As I looked to the face my eyes widened.

"Jack?" I whispered, hands on his face.

His eyes on my face he smiled and his hands slowly raised to my cheek cupping it in his soft hands.

"Marnie." He said barely a whisper before closing his eyes and his hand fell to the ground.

Ok ok I know this was super short but it's kind of a filler??? I have an idea of how to make the story better so um this is for whoever wanted me to continue this.
