We were both quiet for a moment, but Levi broke the silence. "Tell me about yourself," he said.
I paused. Nobody ever asked me anything about myself before. "Like what?" I decided to say.
He laughed a little bit, sort of a like a giggle, but from a boy. "What's your favorite color? What do you do for fun? How old are you? Do you have any siblings? Do you play any sports?" Levi asked.
I giggled in a bit of embarrassment. "Oh. My favorite color is red, I like to draw for fun, I'm 13, I'm an only child, and I don't do any sports," I replied, only answering the questions about me.
Levi smiled again. He smiled a lot, but not just a smile, a heartfelt smile.
"What about you?" I asked, trying not to make it all about me.
"Well besides, acting, I like to play basketball for fun when I can. My favorite color is green, I'm 13, I have two sisters, and I don't do any sports either. I know basketball is a sport, but I'm not on a team," Levi said, answering the same questions.
BTW: I don't know for sure whether some of those facts are true or not. I had to make a few up to go along with the plot.
After that, the water had arrived at our table. "Are you ready to order? Do you need more time?" The waiter asked kindly.
I hadn't even looked at the menu yet. "I need just a little more time," I said. I looked down at the decorative menu.
