I sat down with my lunch tray at one of the circle tables in the cafeteria. My friends were deep in chatter.

"Tyler is definitely going to ask you to the school dance!" Peyton excitedly told Lauren. I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, but I saw him staring at Kayla yesterday," Lauren complained.

"Well, I heard from Jack, Tyler's best friend, that he's going to ask you!" Piper chipped in.

I put on my best annoyed face. My friends glared at me. "Oh come on! You have to think some guy in this grade is at least attractive!" Madison whined.

"The male gender, attractive? Oh please. They're just self-centered, football obsessed creatures," I said. This time my friends rolled their eyes and I giggled.  "You guys can go to the dance without me."

Grace, who was looking at her phone during this conversation, stood up and shrieked. I plugged my ears.

"What?!" We all asked.

"Levi Miller is coming here, to Sydney, tomorrow!" Grace yelled. The other students eating at other tables were to busy in their own conversations to notice.

My friends began to freak out.

"It's just a celebrity. He'll probably be guarded by a ton of security," I told them. I was the one who usually ruined something with the hard truth.

"Oh well! He's cute, our age, and has perfect blue eyes!" Piper said. If this were a cartoon. She would have those hearts for eyes right now.

"Well, you guys can have fun without me," I told them.

"Umm, you have to come. Your mum is the only one with a car to fit us all," Lauren explained.

I rolled my eyes again. "Fine, but I won't be doing any fan-girling," I sighed. They all nodded.
