The Not Date Part 3

I couldn't decide between six different meals. They all looked so good. I decided to go with Caesar salad. It was the cheapest. My mum would probably be happier if I didn't spend all twenty dollars.

A couple minutes later the waiter came back. Levi ordered first. "I'll have the spaghetti." The waiter wrote it down on his notepad.

"And for the lady?" He asked, directing his attention towards me.

"I'm paying separate," I began to say.

"No she isn't," Levi interrupted. He looked over at me with a just-go-with-it kind of face.

I looked back at the waiter. "I'll have the Caesar salad." The waiter wrote it down on the notepad and took up our menus. Then he returned to the kitchen.

"Are you into acting?" Levi asked curiously.

"Yes, but I've only been in a few plays."

"I could get my agent to work with you," Levi suggested.

First, he's buying me lunch, and now he's offering me his agent. He's being too nice! I'm not going to have a crush on him. Never had one, never will until I'm at least 17.

"Okay," I said enthusiastically. He was being nice. I didn't want to say no.

Our meals came very soon. While we ate we had a few conversations, but it was all small talk.

"Would you like dessert?" Levi asked me. I shook my head. He was already paying for dinner. I wasn't going to let him buy me anything else. I did not want this to be a date.

"I'm full," I said, making an excuse. Levi payed the check, while I texted my mom, telling her I'm almost done.

"I have to get going soon," Levi said.

"Me too."

We walked back to the park where Levi got picked up by his own personal driver. About ten minutes later, my mum picked me up.

"Did you have fun with your friends?" She asked. I nodded my head yes and handed her back the twenty dollar bill. My mum looked at me confused.

"Lauren payed," I lied. My mum continued driving.
