My party was being held at The Grand Hotel in the centre of town. According to my best friend Cassidy it was 'the' place to have a party.

When I walked in I could definitely see what all the hype was all about. The floor was covered in glossy black tiles and there were tables covered in blood, red roses in every corner. In the middle of the ceiling hung a huge crystal chandelier.

Standing in front of the door to the ballroom where my party was being held, were two attractive young men. They took our coats then held the door open for us.

The whole room was laid out in a black and white theme. There were black and white balloons, table decorations and everyone was wearing black and white themed clothes. Except for me.

I felt like a giant neon sign was floating above my head saying "look at me, look at me!"

Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone running towards me. I caught the light form in my arms. "Cassidy!!" I squealed in delight.

"That's ma name," she replied sarcastically.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming you bitch!"

"I wanted to surprise you, you slut."

I know it seemed like we were calling each other names but that was our way of showing we lived each other.

"You look amazing," I said. With long brown hair, piercing blue eyes and a figure to die for, she could have easily passed for a Playboy model.

"Says you," she replied. "You look stunning."

"I know." I said confidently. I wasn't going to be one of those cliché girls who were gorgeous but told everyone they were ugly.

"Conceited much,"

"I know I'm hot, why not admit it?"

"You are so right," said Cassidy looping her arm through mine.

"Hot bitches coming through!" We shouted in unison, pushing through the mass of people to get some drinks.

We got to the drinks table and I almost lost my life. Standing next to it was Emanuel. I left Cassidy, who was more than happy to be flirting with some unknown guy, and went to talk to Emanuel.

"What are you doing here?" I snapped

"Waiting for you," he replied coolly.

"Why?"

"It's time you knew the truth."

"Emanuel no, leave it 'til tomorrow. You can't just show up at someone's party and try to tell them some unknown truth."

"It's not unknown, you just don't remember it."

I grabbed his arm and pulled him out the backdoor into the cool night air. "Listen, enough with these Yoda speeches! I have never met you before so stop acting like I have!"

"You're an angel." He said suddenly.

"What!? You're crazy"

"No not really see I know you and I also know that you've been hearing voices in your head."

"How did you know that?"

"Because they're angels talking."

"You're nuts! I'm calling the police." I stalked away towards the door. Without warning Emanuel grabbed me by the shoulders, grabbed my necklace and ripped it off my neck.

He threw it on the ground in front of me and I watched it shatter into a million pieces. A bright white light shone out of it and wrapped itself around my body. I could feel it warm my entire body before I succumbed to darkness.
